Place was exactly what we needed to break up our drive. Moragh was fantastic, and we really appreciated them leaving the lights on for us as we were arriving after dark. We particularly liked the little touch of Easter chocolates! Thanks again for having us ☺️

A nice little place about 5 km from Timaru, in a rural setting. Elvie is available if we needed her but didn’t see her that much. The unit is separate from the owners house. It is better in person than in the pictures. Excellent value for money :-) Thanks Elvie and Garry!

We had a beautiful stay in Otematata, very peaceful and clean - exactly as described in the listing! Nice touches too; a selection of teas, plenty of extra blankets, and a well equipped kitchen. This place is such great value, and I’d love to come back! Thanks Robyn and Ross :)

Very cozy and comfortable place that just feels like home. Super clean and you can find everything you need. I could see that the place has been furnished and decorated with good taste :) We stayed two nights and it was perfect to visit lake Takepo and Mt Cook area. There are a lot of nice things one could do in the area, but we did not have enough time. I would love to come back here and stay at Kathy‘s place. The place seems a little bit remote. That’s why it’s very calm and peaceful, but without a car it would have been difficult. Fortunately we had a car.

Serenity Plus!

This is the second time I have stayed at Kevin’s place. I just love it. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean, quiet and spotless. The location is brilliant with lots of walking tracks around the area and easy to get to Mt Cook. The pub does a great meal and the wifi reaches the apartment. The bakery does great donuts and custard slices. The view from the unit Is amazing. And there is an apple tree on the golf course just outside the door. Also the stars at night and amazing. I will be back.

Your luxury lakeside escape

The house was the perfect getaway. The attention to detail was amazing, from the bath bomb in the bath to the duck food left for us to feed the ducks. It was a peaceful location and beautiful surroundings. Casey was a great host. We will definitely be coming back!

Thank you for a great place to stay. We appreciated the small touch of easter eggs tucked in to the napkins and loved watching your beautiful cows in the paddock out front! We were blessed with clear nights to stargaze frm the hot tub!

Frog Lodge - Enjoy Comfort & Style in Otematata

We had a great stay at Frog Lodge - it was wonderful to be able to stay at such a lovely home that also welcomed our dogs. The fenced yard was perfect for them and we enjoyed sitting on the deck in the afternoon sun. We had such great communication from Jan in the lead up that we had no questions or concerns and everything went smoothly. We would love to stay again next time we are in the area and would 100% recommend a stay in Autumn, such a beautiful time of year in the area.

Loved our stay and would definitely recommend. Very friendly hosts and super accommodating. So lovely having a log burner. Very sweet touch leaving us some treats (free range eggs, yogurt, spiced plums. bread, jam, marmalade, granola). Thank very much for the stay!

Fantastic spot to enjoy the amazing location around the lakes and McKenzie District and of course Maadi Cup! A great house that had everything we needed in a very quiet and scenic place.

Classic Otematata Bach

We loved staying at Fiona’s place. It’s a typical New Zealand holiday home (bach/crib) and is well-equipped with everything you might need. It’s nice and homely and in a very quiet area of Otematata. We stayed for three nights and used the house as a base for cycling parts of the Alps2O cycle trail. We highly recommend Fiona’s place.

The house is awesome and worked perfectly for our stay, outdoor area is really good too. Everything was tidy and things were easy to find. The best part for us was probably the driveway room we had two utes with boats and could fit them off street which is perfect:))))
