Had a wondeful stay with Robyn! Hosts were very friendly, responsive, and accommodating. Comfy bed and nice hot shower. Very quiet and tucked away but still lots close by. Would definitely stay again!

Whare ataahua (beautiful home). We loved our stay. Cosy warm whare (home). Loved the weka’s. Fantastic walks and views. Definitely recommend this as a great place to stay.

My parents stayed here and really loved the getaway. Wendy was very responsive and accomodating. Lots of nice touches including fresh eggs. Wendy extended the trip post a cancellation which was fantastic. The weather wasn’t ideal but it was the perfect spot for a cosy getaway, right by the ocean. Thanks so much, we will be back!

Such a beautiful spot! The cabin is simple but beautifully done. Loved the walks the owners have marked out and the friendly bird life. There’s some pretty frisky sandflies down by the river but they weren’t too much of a hassle up by the cabin itself. I actually did end up having cell coverage, albeit limited, but everything’s otherwise off the grid which was nice and helped disconnect from work. I got lucky and had gloriously sunny days, so no troubles with the solar hot water. Great stay! Could’ve happily stayed another day, which the owners have noted is a common piece of feedback they get and I can see why.

The Birds Nest is an aptly named, beautifully crafted tiny home surrounded by trees. The colours were particularly beautiful in autumn when we visited. The cabin has everything needed for a very comfortable stay and Jo is a responsive host with a great attention to detail. The little bottle of birthday bubbles was a thoughtful touch and greatly appreciated. The highlight for us was the private spa, with a sunset view through the trees listening to the birds. Wonderful. I highly recommend The Birds Nest for a relaxing, tranquil stay in Christchurch. We hope to be back sometime. Thanks so much!

Hands down the best air bnb I’ve ever stayed in. We booked relatively last minute and Kimmie was super responsive and able to accommodate us. We found the place easy to find (iPhone maps led us right there). The house was immaculate, great fitout, very clean and tidy, and full of character. Words cannot describe the location - you just have to see it for yourself. The sunset is like nothing I have ever witnessed before in my life. The neighbours are miles away so very quiet and private. Everything we needed was provided. The house is well stocked with all the essentials, and Kimmie was very generous, even offering up the contents of the pantry to help ourselves. She recommended local places to eat, and I highly recommend the craypot in Jackson bay for lunch and the hard antler bar in haast for dinner or a drink. The only thing I was sad about is that we had to leave this beautiful beachside paradise - but we will be back! I highly recommend this stay and Kimmie as a host. Thank you!

Awesome place for a couple of nights away. Close to great walking options. Beautiful views, loved lying in bed looking at the mountains.

Stayed here 4 nights and really enjoyed it. Small place but had everything we needed - kitchenette, little dining table, space to open up our bags. Photos were spot on, but the lake view in person was next level. It was cold in April but the heater worked well and the bed was really comfy. Everything was clean and well looked after. Bit hard to find at night and the driveway’s a bit tight, so best to arrive during the day if you can. It’s close to restaurants and a small supermarket - bigger shops are about an hour away. Quiet, safe and a good spot to relax. Would stay again. Great for couples or solo travellers.

Hannah's place was perfect for our short stay over in the area. In fact, we wished we had longer! It was perfectly clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed. It's also a quick drive to the nearby town and the surrounding scenery is beautiful. Hannah was also friendly, responsive and very willing to help out with our requests.

Anna’s place is very special. Beautiful surroundings and view. Off Grid and feels like you’re in the middle of no-where. Anna and Nic were extra helpful with our requests, we really appreciated it after a big day riding thru the Heaphy Would thoroughly recommend the experience of staying at Te Whare o Kea !

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The place was so cute, cozy and well decorated. We had everything we needed for our stay and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Definitely will visit again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sue’s place. She generously upgraded the room we were in, to one of the dome units. The communication was great and the facilities at the park are great too.

We had an amazing time ending our 3 week road trip of South Island relaxing at this beautiful B&B. It was gorgeous, thoughtfully done and comfortable. It was easy to access and quiet at night. Would love to stay again!

One of the best equipped bnbs we have stayed at, after experiencing almost a hundred all over the world It is actually a gem in Twizel for the following reasons: - fabulous outdoor hottub; - squeaky clean and spick and span; - quiet but easily accessible by car to supermarkets and restaurants; - Responsive host; - Facilities just as described, almost brand new, wonderful

Ruataniwha Hut is such a beautiful spot! Coming from a country area in aus ourselves, we have a special appreciation for the beauty and the peacefulness of this place 😊 The hut was so cosy, had everything we needed and made for a perfect stay whilst travelling around the area. Huge credit to Andrew who has put in so much effort to make this place special!

Comfortable and in beautiful surroundings. The carriage has been beautifully restored and is well appointed with all we needed. Lovely to hear the birds in the bush and to make the acquaintance of the sheep.

If you are thinking about staying here - stay here! A standout experience of thoughtful accommodation. Guided to the cabin by solar lights on the driveway, the cabin was spotless and welcoming. The spa is fantastic, and the surroundings are stunning. Lots to do in the surrounding areas but plenty to keep you occupied just on the property. A favourite Airbnb stay for sure!

I had a wonderful stay! The space was spotless and full of thoughtful details that made it feel extra welcoming. The design is unique and adds a lot of charm. I especially loved the outdoor bath—it was such a relaxing and luxurious touch. Richard and Edwina were warm and generous hosts. I'd definitely recommend staying here!
