We had a wonderful time at Sheila’s cabin. The added touches of hand written note, bottle of wine and snacks were unexpected and a very classy touch!! The space was huge and perfect for our family with young kids. Would definitely recommend!

This is a beautiful cabin, it’s great for everyone but especially for families. My kids enjoyed the two little chairs and table upstairs it was a perfect size for them. They have a toddler gate for the stairs. The room upstairs is private and it has its own bathroom. Very peaceful area. Steve and Cathy are very helpful, such a kind couple. They left us some hot chocolate and some Biscotti. We used the fire pit once to make s’mores and they were kind enough to help us start it. There is no reception which we already knew before booking, but the Wi-Fi was great so we were able to still use our phone with no problem. There is a grocery store about 14 mins away from the cabin that we know of but they do close at 7pm. Overall we had a great stay.

We had our family together for some February Winter fun. We appreciated all of the information about "Things to Do" "Places to Visit / Eat / Play". The home was well equipped and gave each of us (three couples) enough social space as well as personal space. Would recommend this location and property to those coming with similar size families.

Our stay at Ginny’s cabin made for a perfect experience for our family…. again! We love the location, and the abundance of snow was an extra bonus this past week. The cabin is so charming and cozy. We brought wood for the fireplace. The warmth and the ambience made everything just perfect. We had great communication with the host. The property is quite private and very quiet. It doesn’t take long to get to town, but you feel like you are out in the country and far enough away from the traffic and the tourists. We loved the cabin before Ginny added the Internet and TV; but it was so nice to have both this time. Bear Pause is also a great place to “unplug” and refresh from the busy Southern California lifestyle. We are so grateful to have this cabin as our go-to getaway. Thank you Ginny. We will be back soon!

A beautiful home! Thoroughly enjoyed staying here, would stay again! We skied Kirkwood, which was 35-40 mins drive away. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots/plans/utensils and some basic pantry items too. Super easy to access the front door and the heating system worked well. Highly recommend!

The chalet was very comfortable and well-kept. Check-in and departure were painless, and the beds were some of the best I've seen in a short-term rental. And, the location was perfect for us!

This home was perfect for our group of 10 (adults and children) for a quick ski trip. There are tons of bedrooms with plenty of space for larger groups, and endless activities provided in the home (a heated spa, stacks of puzzles and board games, and an immense game room with pool, foosball, etc). The location is about a 5-7 minute drive from Bear Mountain, so it was extremely convenient. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and serve meals, along with a few provided snacks that the children were thankful for. David was very communicative up front about the vacation rental standards in the City of Big Bear, which are significant, and how to enter/exit the home.

The house, location and the experience was truly amazing and wonderful. We had a great time. It was relaxing and peaceful. Will do it again if the need arises. Derek was very responsive and kind. Flexible in accommodating our requests.

Everything was awesome! We loved the house. It was large, nice, and great for our big group. Would definitely book again!

The home had a well appointed kitchen and clean rooms. There was a maintenance employee at the house well after the check in time, which was weird. Not the greeting or reception we expected or wanted. Some glass on the balcony but Outpost offered to have someone come in and clean it up, we declined. More for the next people coming in. Overall a very responsive company that was professional and friendly. Recommend staying here, minus the few hiccups.

This place has the WOW factor!!!! If your looking for a family retreat in a beautiful full log home this is a great place. Comfortably fit our family of 10 with everything you need plus beautiful views. Great place for for skiers and non skiers alike with children. Enjoy the hot pools, beautiful walks, excellent restaurants with variety, fat bikes, snow shoes, cross country skiing and more!!! All this plus a luxury home for your family to make some great memories. Shy is an excellent host answering everything we asked, a 5 star experience for sure. Great comfy home in a beautiful neighborhood. Quick easy drive to the lake and Incline Village. We went in the winter and the snowy landscape, sound of the creek next to the hot tub and cozy fireplace were just what we needed for a quiet relaxing getaway.

This location was just the right base for exploring the Hoodsport area. The house was comfy and well situated for hanging out in. We enjoyed coming “home” each day to comfortable beds and a well-appointed kitchen. The space was clean and very tidy. We would definitely stay again.

We loved Greg and Catherine's home. It was nicely laid out. Very comfortable and had everything we needed! The view is amazing and the beach is so inviting. We really had the best time!

This was a perfect home, we all felt so comfortable and cozy and had huge family meals when not out exploring. it was absolutely beautiful and peaceful.

Colin's place is a perfect size for our family of 4 (two adults, two younger kids that don't mind sharing a bed). The kitchen is compact but had everything we needed for 3 breakfasts/2 dinners in over the weekend. Quality linens, comfortable beds. Easy to get here from Seattle. We were greeted by unseasonably warm weather and were happy to be able to dine alfresco and use the fire pit / stargaze one evening. This was our third stay at Colin's place (every other year across 5 years), and we plan to keep coming back. The owners have made incremental improvements/investments over the years and maintain the property well. Highly recommend - do me a favor and don't book the last weekend in February :)

This was our second time staying here and we will be back again next year! The house is fabulous; beautiful views, great outdoor deck and fire pit, path to the lake and a well stocked kitchen. The beds are very comfortable and each bedroom has its own bathroom. Perfect house for a large group/family. Emma is so friendly and communicative. This is now our go to place for our yearly family get together.
