We were visiting family nearby and were so pleased with this home. It was quirky and full of character. The secure garden was perfect and everything was so neat and proper. It had excellent facilities and the little touches like coffee, tea and milk were perfect. The fact that dogs are allowed was very welcoming and kind. The only thing was the main road was quite loud but just bring some ear plugs and you’ll be absolutely fine. It’s worth it for this property which has everything you could need in a very beautiful village. We would 100% return if we came back to the area.

We had a great 10 night stay. The house had everything a family could need including everything for a baby like a gate for the stairs, high chair, cot and baby bath. The house also had lots of games and toys perfect for a rainy day. The kitchen had all the appliances you need to cook food for a family of four including herbs and spices and a dishwasher. As well as a great washing machine, dryer and ironing board with all soap and detergents provided. There were plenty of towels, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and hand soap was provided as well as cleaning supplies. Most importantly house was cosy and warm all the time despite the cold weather. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and the owners were very polite and quick to respond. Highly recommend!!!

Very generous host even left some bottled water and tea coffee bread etc for us which was so appreciated 🙏🙏 Lovely , big , comfy clean beds, bedding and towels. Great kitchen and dinning area cooked a lovely meal. We really enjoyed our stay thank you once again 🙏🙏

Great place, well equipped, really spacious and very comfortable. we used the Mersey-rail from west Kirby for all our days out it’s a really amazing service.

Well, what a lovely home from home place to stay at for a long weekend. We were visiting family between Christmas and New Year. The place had everything to offer with a beautiful view. Perfect location for Cheshire and for Manchester. A place we would definitely stay at again. Nissa was a great host. Thank you again.

The Hen house is a little gem. The garden and surrounding area is idyllic and the house is charming. We had a lovely couple of days relaxing and thoroughly loved our stay. Brian and Judy are lovely hosts and I highly recommend a stay with them.

Absolute gem of a house. Mark couldn’t have been a better host. House was spotless and extremely well appointed. Ansdell is a perfect spot as it’s easily accessible to Lytham and close to Fairhaven. My family lives in Lytham and when there is a big get together we sometimes need to find extra accommodation. This has been the best one we have found so far. Thank you Mark.

Wow. What a beautiful home! The pictures do not do it justice. We absolutely loved our stay here. As soon as we arrived it felt extremely homely and the place had everything we could have needed. We stayed as a group of friends celebrating 2 birthdays, and there was more than enough room for us, the place is huge! We were able to enjoy a bbq, sunbathe, and play games in the huge garden. Ros was so helpful and responsive. Thankyou for having us, you have really put your everything into your home, we had the best time together.

Perfect place to relax on our quick Liverpool trip. Great for the dog with the prom and the Mersey beach so close by. Really comfy and quiet. Just what we needed.

Mary was a great host- very responsive. The Maples 3 was perfect for our stay as a base to explore the local area. It was very clean with all the basics needed in a peaceful location.

Stayed at Helen's place due to working locally for a few days. Helen was very friendly and helpful welcoming. The place was great. Had everything I needed and felt very homely. Location was perfect for me as it was only a few minutes from where I was working. Would stay again. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely working visit to the Wirral, The Bread Shed was ideal for my needs and the host were brilliant. Great communication and a lovely welcome package of fresh bread and other treats. Definitely a place I'll look out for next time and very much recommended to anyone visiting the area.

Lovely stay at Jonathan’s place. I grew up in the area and was nice to come back and stay again. The flat was spotless, and well furnished with everything you would need for a short stay. Jonathan was super responsive to any queries we had, and was really helpful answering questions. We will definitely be back next time we are staying in the area.

Everything was lovely about this place. It was small but perfect, has everything you need and is super cosy. The sheep across the way aren’t nosy or loud and are honestly super cute. Aled was also very responsive to our questions. Highly recommend.

Absolutely excellent stay, beautiful and simply perfect! The shepherds hut was an excellent escape, exactly as described with a great shower. We can’t wait to come back! Made to feel so welcome and the breakfast was amazing!

Really enjoyed our stay, the views of the lake was peaceful and calming. Only advice I would say is make sure to bring bug spray as once it starts getting dark they’re out in force. But that’s not a complaint as we still loved our stay

What a beautiful little gem! We're still talking about this place and how incredible everything was. The place was unique but also very cosy in the evening with a breath taking view 5 mins away. We brought our 6 year old who said she never wanted to leave. Perfect family getaway and Charlotte is the loveliest lady.

Absolutely amazing stay could not recommend enough! Hosts were fantastic and very friendly. The perfect place to relax and unwind. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the river which is just a short walk away from where you're staying is 100% worth the visit. Youll not be disappointed. We will most definitely be coming back!
