This mini 1 bedroom house was our trial run in building our main home using passive house principles. We are approx 1 km from the centre of Westbury in a rural location. (You may be lucky enough to sight some of our local wildlife during your stay! ) The cottage is suitable for a couple, however the extra single bed does enable some flexibility for guests.(i.e. if you wish to use both beds, please book for 3 people.) We provide a library of information about sustainability for guest perusal.

Coiler Creek Cottage

Coiler creek cottage is a renovated farmhouse self contained with no neighbors for 500 m. Free WiFi. Air conditioned. Just relax in the country or walk along the creek bank. Wylah Cottage, Deloraine, Secluded Bush Retreat

Nestling in a forest of Peppermint Gums is Wylah Cottage, so named after the Aboriginal word for the Yellow Tailed, Black Cockatoo, which is regularly seen and heard around the property. A secluded, self contained, bush retreat, located close to all the good things Tasmania has to offer. On 55 acres of bushland, teeming with wildlife, yet only 7kms from Deloraine – on the way to Cradle Mountain, and 45 minutes to either the Devonport Ferry, or Launceston Airport.

The property is nestled into the base of the Great Western Tiers which provides great opportunity for bushwalking and wildlife viewing. Blackwood Cottage is the perfect place to use as a base for outdoor adventures or as a place to relax in front of the fireplace.

Shoal Bay just 20 meters from the door and Greens Beach just 10 minutes walk away along National Park Coastal track or along sealed road. One double bed in each room, two bathrooms laundry, kitchen with dishwasher, living room with TV, DVD, Wifi. Reverse cycle air-con in main area and electric oil heaters in each room.Tank water. Plenty of yard space and car parks.
