An old family home full of antiques, peace and quietness, A spacious environment with an outdoor braai area. A 5 bedroom and 2 bathroom house with enough space for a large family. One of the bathrooms are outside the house with a flushing toilet and a bath. Large traditional kitchen and pantry. A sunny porch with a view of the mountains of the Karoo. Free outdoor parking. No WIFI, but nearby cellphone tower, so very good signal. No TV or air conditioning. "Please note: pets are not allowed."

We’re nestled in The Crags, between vineyards, indigenous forests and animal sanctuaries, just 20 mins from Plettenberg Bay’s beaches. Our cottage is where traditional African cob building meets modern wooden comfort. A mountain retreat for artists, lovers, writers, gardeners, hikers, birders, farmers, adventurers and all in pursuit of peace and beauty. Please note: 4x4 or capable high clearance vehicle required. Getting here is part of the adventure! The farm is only 5km off the R62 but this is a gravel mountain pass that requires the right vehicle. If you are travelling in a normal car or small SUV please reach out to make alternative arrangements for this last part of your journey.

The Crags Superette and restaurant is just 5 minutes away plus take-aways 10minutes away.

Leave the world behind and follow a scenic 36km gravel road from Kareedouw into the mountains, where this working sheep and cattle farm rests peacefully in a beautiful valley. The original 1890 homestead cottage is a place to reconnect—with nature, family and each other. Wander along the river, hike to the waterfall, or simply slow down together. As night falls, soak in the hot tub beneath a blanket of stars. A magical escape for families and couples alike.

Cloud Cottage is located on Voogsekraal estate. The estate stretches along the mountainous and truly breathtaking Prince Alfred Pass. The estate forms part of the Outeniqua Mountains. This means exquisite views, waterfalls and walks.  The cottage is nestled into the hillside, amidst rockery and fynbos. With no neighbouring farms, cell reception, nor electricity, one is able to experience a true getaway.

An authentic adult tree house built into the bows of a growing rooi karee adult tree (rhuslancea). The dwelling is made of a variety of SA wood varieties and shaped around the stem and branches, allowing humans to live functionally within its arms

Suikerbossie Mountain Cabin
