"Blue Room"—Fernald Hill Farm/Yatsevitch ForestA quiet country setting: two miles of dirt road lead to our house from the nearest paved road. We are surrounded by 1000 acres of land conserved by The Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests (SPNHF). We oversee the open spaces: cattle graze in the pasture and forage crops are grown in the fields in the summer, and maple sap is gathered in the early spring. SPNHF conducts forest research and harvests timber in the wooded areas. Hiking & non-motorized activities are permitted.
