Unique rental has two cabins, each with one bedroom and one bath. The larger "Smiling Elk" has a full kitchen, full bath, queen bed, laundry, electric fireplace, free wi-fi and a flat-screen TV with Roku. 2 exterior doors, but both are in the same one-bedroom cabin. The smaller and adorable "Little Bear" has a partial kitchen (sink, microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker), 3/4 bath with tiled shower, two twin beds, and a sleeper sofa. This historic 309-square foot cabin was built in 1932 for men working on the Shadow Mountain dam. When we found it, we knew this would be the perfect getaway. Our cabin is 4 miles from downtown Grand Lake! It's a short drive to restaurants, shops, hiking, fishing, the beach and kayak/boat rentals. Head to Rocky Mountain National park to hike and see wildlife or stay home and enjoy s'mores around the fire. On a clear night the stars are absolutely breathtaking!
