The cosy living room is fitted with an efficient log burning stove, and you will find a basket of wood on your arrival. The kitchen is located at the back of the building with access to a small, enclosed garden perfect for a slow breakfast in the sun or an evening drink on the lawn. Newley refurbished cottage in Craigellachie. Ideally located for the whisky trail this comfortable two bedroom property is close to the Speyside Way offering lots of walking and cycling routes. The world famous river Spey, with its salmon fishing is on the doorstep and with many of the regions distilleries close by this is the ideal base to explore this beautiful part of the country. The Craigellachie Hotel and Highlander Inn around the corner offer great food and outstanding whisky bars.

The 'Byre' is a luxury self catering cottage within a former barn at historic Parkhead Farm. It sits just 200m from the ruins of Auchindoun Castle and has unsurpassed views to the castle on the hill. Being of contemporary open plan design, it retains the traditional look of the original barn interior with large exposed roof trusses and natural stonework. Underfloor heating provides discrete background warmth and there is a modern wood burning stove to give an enhanced level of cosiness.

By car, the stunning beaches and coastline of Moray can be easily reached, as can the hills and distilleries of Speyside.

Added later, the adjacent 200 year old cottage has been beautifully renovated and sits in a peaceful location within a 2 acre garden surrounded by open countryside. It’s perfectly situated as a base for exploring the highlands of Scotland, the fabulous beaches and places of interest around the Moray Firth, as well as being on the doorstep of the acclaimed Malt Whisky Trail. The Highland Capital of Inverness is only 20 minutes away.
