In 1834, it was a chicken coop nestled between the house and barn. Today, it's a cozy cabin just a stone's throw away from the villa and venue. From the private, rural setting to the rustic decor, you'll feel as though you've traveled back to simpler times. It's unique, refreshing and oh-so tranquil. Welcome to our charming home on the lake. Here you will find 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. It sits directly in front of Lake Lacoma in East Dubuque, Il and is a short drive to Galena, IL and Dubuque, IA. The 2 private bedrooms along with the 2 couches sleeps up to six. On site we have canoes and lifejackets for you to enjoy. There is a large deck overlooking the lake and lots of parking. Washer & Dryer. Recently Built Dock perfect for fishing. In the winter Ice Fishing is a must. Fire pit with seating.

1842 Bavarian Brew House

Nestled in charming and historic Galena this beautiful home was built in 1842 by brewer Peter Specht from Bavaria. The cellar operated as his brewery and tavern while living in the home above. The house was extensively renovated in 2008. It remains full of character and charm, but now boasts an abundance of modern comforts. A quiet private patio and yard are the perfect spot for a morning coffee or a glass of wine. All within a few walkable blocks to Main Street, the heart of Galena!

Ulysses Suites, Suite 203

Ulysses Suites has just been completed inside the historic J. G. Schmohl building in the heart of downtown Galena, located at 213 to 217 S. Main Street. The location is walking distance to all the best restaurants and shops. We have 7 suites and a beautiful lobby that are modern and luxurious, with lots of historical character and texture as a nod to its previous existence as the Grant Hotel from 1895 to 1933. Suite 203 is almost 1400 square feet and is located on the 2nd floor.

Hamilton Goebel House

This house is a historic home that was built in 1833 on land owned by Jamison Hamilton, the founder of Darlington. It is not known if he actually lived in the house,but could be assumed. During your stay you will find bits of history and pictures that have been gathered along the way.It has all the comforts of home. A beautiful four bedroom home that has been completely renovated to reflect the old and new times. This home was on the list to be torn down by the city.

Built in 1846, the Galena RowHouse is one of the oldest guest homes in Galena. Although it was built over 175 years ago we have taken time to provide beautiful and modern updates with out destroying the historical integrity.
