Tiny houses in Central Otago District

A cozy and modern cottage with a terrace where you can enjoy spectacular view of the city. Instructions for check-in are clear and the host is easy to communicate. The only downside is that you have to rely on the lift to access the house. Unluckily the down button didn’t work when we left the apartment and we had to walk downhill (a short walk but with luggage it’s not possible). The house is nicely equipped but if there could be a washbasin in the kitchen area it would be great. Overall it’s an enjoyable experience.

Fantastic hosts, went the extra mile for my parents, fabulous location, lovely fire to keep warm. Could not have been a better experience for them.

the house was fully equipped with everything we needed, including a well-stocked kitchen. There was even a cute little loft. It was clean comfortable and we could enjoy the starry sky, peaceful and relaxing

Clever design of a compact space with beautiful mountain views. A very relaxing retreat in rural surroundings and yet very convenient for Queenstown and Arrowtown attractions.

Ann’s property was peaceful, clean and charming. She was also very hospitable and made us feel right at home from the get go. She gave us great recommendations for local activities, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. The check in process was seamless and communication couldn’t be faulted. The hot tub was a particular treat and gave us a little slice of luxury! We would highly recommend staying at Ann’s property and will no doubt return when we return to the area.

We met Mari when we arrived & had nice natter prior to unloading the car. We found the accommodation excellent and Marc had provided made additional extra in the kitchen which we didn’t expect, some nice touches… Also, there were pictures on the walls making it quite homely and finally, the wifi login was a breeze, due to his gadgets… Go Mari! We’ll certainly return when we visit Cromwell.

This is a very cute tiny house! We enjoyed our stay, it was comfy and warm. Great place to have our wee dog with us as it was fully fenced and felt like our own wee place. Bed was very comfy and added bonus of an outdoor fire to enjoy!

What a beautiful little chalet! It was bigger than I thought it would be. I slept like a rock, had a wonderful outdoor bath watching the stars, and breakfast was delicious.

A wonderful stay - the house is impeccably stylish with thoughtful and modern amenities. It was perfectly clean and Alice was a very clear communicator - an effortless stay, would rebook.

Loulou’s place was lovely. It was clean, modern and beautiful. She was very helpful and friendly and the whole experience was extremely relaxing and easy. The location couldn’t be better to visit all the wineries, 2 very cute and friendly dogs, already planning our return visit to tick off everything we missed this time around!

Such a lovely abode! Steve & Jane have built a beautiful space & you can tell alot of thought and effort has gone in to providing a comfortable and relaxing experience for guests. The homemade jams & other condiments were greatly appreciated. I highly recommend!

My partner and I stayed just one night at Sarah’s place and honestly wish we could’ve stayed longer, it’s such a beautiful and peaceful spot. The space has everything you need, and the spa pool under the stars was absolutely magical. But what truly made the stay unforgettable was Sarah herself. We were dealing with a very stressful situation, my partner had an important online exam and our laptops failed us at the worst possible time. Not knowing anyone in NZ and with only hours to spare, we were in panic mode. Sarah went above and beyond to help us. She kindly lent us her personal laptop and even offered a room in her own home with the best internet connection so the test could be completed smoothly. We’re incredibly grateful for her kindness and support. Sarah is a wonderful host and person, and we can’t recommend her highly enough.

The best part is the view!! Absolutely stunning to wake up and see that view of the Wānaka hillsides. We also really enjoyed the outdoor bath, which was private and peaceful! Great host recommendations, thoughtful touches, and fun decor! Things to note: I found it a little unique that the only sink was in the bathroom - so keep that in mind if you plan on enjoying meals there. Other reviews mention the stairs to get up to the space. I wouldn’t recommend if you have a hard time walking uphill/downhill or feel uncomfortable driving a bit up a hill on a winding road. It totally suited our needs and we enjoyed the privacy, views, and wow factor. I would definitely recommend staying if you’re looking for a little slice of heaven 5 minutes driving from town.

Awesome place to stay for our week in Wanaka. Was so private and very peaceful. We throughly enjoyed using the outdoor bath each evening while watching the stars. A good walk from town but very doable either by road or Mt Iron. Would 100% come back and stay here on our next stay in town.
