Autumn has arrived at the little cottage in the woods! Relax in your own place on a sweet private lane with one queen-size bed and fireplace. There are two cottages on the property. This cottage sits behind our main cottage; the family home is next door. While not directly on the beach, it is approximately a 150 ft. walk down your private path to Lake Michigan and your own beach along with chairs, kayaks, boat, and fire spot. You can walk both ways and Antrim Creek Natural Area is very close.

Riverfront cottage 1-mile nature walk to downtown

A unique old-school cottage located right on the Bear River and Petoskey's newly developed Bear River park and trail. A one-mile meandering walk, over the river and through the woods will take you to downtown Petoskey and Lake Michigan. Along the riverwalk in the opposite direction is a skate park and running track. Also close to shopping plazas and a robust downtown shopping district. The house is dog friendly with a fenced in yard and has three porches to look out over the the river valley.

Charming, year around cottage. Nothing beats being in the middle of our pristine lake or sitting on the deck watching nature in all her glory! And when you're ready for something a little bigger, Lake Michigan is a short drive; along with world famous Legs Inn (closes mid Oct) as are the "big" cities of Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Mackinaw City! Walking distance to Moosejaw restaurant when you don't want to go anywhere! Incredible fall color change. Be prepared to not want to leave!

Summertime: Golf, boat, fish, kayak, paddle board, water ski & tube during the day. Fire pit for relaxing at night. Beach House Restaurant (summer only) across the lake with sunset views. There is no lake access at the cottage, private dock is available at our home a few doors down. Wintertime: 4 miles to ski & snowboard Boyne Mtn, Avalanche indoor waterpark too! 9.6 miles to Jordan Valley snowmobile parking. It is located two miles from downtown Harbor Springs and is close to a number of spectacular beaches and hiking trails. The large field stone fireplace is perfect for cool evenings and the spacious screened porch is ideal for relaxing summer evenings with lake breezes.
