This is a gorgeous home in a great area! It’s close to town and activities but yet in a private and peaceful location. I am absolutely humbled by the care Margo gave us, we came into town unexpectedly due to a death in the family, she went out of her way to get the house cleaned and ready by the time we got there. Her kindness will not be forgotten!

The backyard and pond are super nice. The cabin is well appointed and clean. There are several homes around so you get the remote experience without being alone. Cleaner was super nice and does a fantastic job!

Wonderful relaxing and peaceful location. Sarah was very responsive, helpful and so accommodating.

Gorgeous quiet home on the lake. Host was quick to answer questions and provided great resources and references for home and surrounding area!

This is a great spot for a romantic getaway or as a more relaxing alternative to a hotel when staying near family. It was cute, quiet, clean, and private. The hosts were extremely attentive and helpful.

This is a great place to just decompress...beautiful setup, would be perfect if you could have another couple stay as well but great place ..Def coming back

This place is very beautiful within walking distance of one of the state parks in Henderson would recommend driving there, but it is in walking distance. This was perfect for a group of guys to get together to play airsoft at the state national Park. The only negative is that the beds were a little uncomfortable, but the aesthetic of the home is almost breathtaking. If you are staying here, I would recommend bringing a little mattress topper.

Very nice camping grounds. We enjoyed our two night stay in the cabin. It was nice to have access to kayaks and a canoe and can’t forget the big fishing pond! Our kids caught lots of fish and Joan & Jim were kind enough to send us our pole lol that was left behind by accident. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed staying at this property. I was here for 4 months for work in town and had no issues. There are a good number of travel trailers on the property but the house is in the back corner so it still had a good sense of privacy. At night there are so many stars, you could sit up all night and still not count them all. There are chickens and roosters that roam the property and give it a wonderful sense of being in the country. The heating and air conditioning works wonderfully, the bed is very comfortable (maybe bring a pillow or two), the kitchen is minimal so maybe bring a grill or a plug in burner for cooking food, otherwise you're about 5-10 minutes from town. Shirley communicated great, if you ever have any issues she's quick to address it. I will definitely be staying here again if I ever come work in town again.

If you want a quiet getaway, this is the place. Great for families and the couple trying to hide from everyone. Phone reception may not be the best, but we loved that part. Cabins are cute and clean. Beds are really soft, might be the only thing I was not a fan of, but I personally like a hard mattress, so definitely nothing against the place as this is just personal preference.

This was our second stay at the cabin and we loved it as much this year as last year. It is such a private retreat - one we appreciate. The place is so relaxing, inside and outside. We love the screened porch the best!!!! Kathy is great and so easy to work with. We look forward to our NEXT trip to Mayo Lake!

Perfect family getaway! Peaceful, serene, and relaxing. We enjoyed fishing and paddling in the pond, playing corn hole, playing board games and watching DVDs together. Did not miss the Internet or cable TV at ALL while we were there. The best sleep I’ve had all year because I was so relaxed. We will be back again!

A very enjoyable cottage/ cabin, well cared for, had all the things you could want, great, detailed book to help in all possible ways, including local clinic and or other possible locations that could be helpful. The place was vast and lush, it had a small marina, swimming hole, deck over the marina, and gorgeous views over the lake into the pastoral lives of the community. They have canoes for the wanderlust adventurer. My dogs had a terrific time exploring the forest trails, on leash, and the compound. I would have liked more of those to hike with them. It's super remote and peaceful/ quiet but a short drive out of the compound and you have a terrific pizzeria with cannoli, seafood entrees, pizza, burgers. Further along, a wonderful cafe with everything Starbucks offers and much more: full breakfast, lunch deli meat sandwiches, all made to order. There is a fine restaurant towards NC with a sports bar and further a public beach, $10p/adult which is DJed. Everyone super helpful

My family and I were absolutely blown away with this beautiful inviting cabin. There really was no stone left unturned. We enjoyed our stay and all the amenities that were offered including the games for the teenagers being able to sit at the fire pit and kick back roasting s’more’s, Morning view sitting on the front porch and the nook with the rocking chairs was perfect. We felt like we were at home away from home. Anyone would enjoy staying here and be very pleased with the hospitality provided.

Had a great weekend at the cabin. We have rented a few cabins on hyco lake and this location was probably our favorite. Fishing was fantastic and we found a resturant nearby that was, a little pricy, but amazing steak. It was the closest steak house when you google "steak near me". We spent hours down at the dock house and when inside the cabin, the coffee bar and couch called my name often lol.

Stone's Paradise was the perfect weekend getaway! Wendall was a great host and quick to respond. The house was stocked with some essentials, snacks and even fishing worms. My husband started his Saturday morning with complimentary coffee and fishing as there's poles available on site (you'll need your own tackle box). There was also some firewood available at no charge. There are other homes nearby but it was still peaceful and well worth what we paid. We look forward to staying again :)

Our adult family of 4 spent 4 days in this sweet cabin as a last minute summer getaway. It was cozy but comfortable and being “disconnected” ensured we had QUALITY family time, talking and laughing and enjoying each other’s company. If you prefer firm beds the ones provided are perfect. The efficiency kitchen is adequate to put together breakfast or a quick dinner. Make sure to bring your own seasonings and paper supplies. Bring your comfortable folding chairs too. I cannot say enough about the beach area which is conveniently located just a 3 minute walk from the lower cabins or a minute’s drive to the parking area. The beach area is beautifully maintained and everything is provided from life vests to floats to the canoe and kayaks! There are several picnic tables under a canopy of shade trees, just perfect to pack a lunch and spend the day at the lake. There is PLENTY to do around camp like horseshoes, corn hole, giant Jenga and tether ball. Make sure to enjoy some s’mores at the community fire pits and bring your fishing poles for the pond also! You can see the love the owners have for this property by all of the special touches throughout-like lamp posts on the beach path, several sitting benches, a footbridge over the stream and signage to mark everything well. We will definitely return to this gem on the lake!

This was EXACTLY what we were looking for. Perfect tranquility and features. Accommodations were prefect and we will be back with lots of family! They were great communicators and beat all expectations.
