Located in the market town of Cockermouth, our charming 1 bedroom cottage has been lovingly restored by ourselves. Only a few miles from both the Lake District National Park and Solway Coastline, No. 60 is superbly situated for you to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the local area. With an abundance of cosy character features and modern facilities, our cottage is the perfect base. Our family own the adjoining property No.62 which can be booked alongside our place to accomodate a larger group.

Boutique cottage in picturesque Lorton village.

Our luxury detached Lakeland cottage in the village of Lorton sits in a hidden gem of a valley and is a year round destination . Two beautiful bedrooms one of which can turn into single beds and each with their own bathrooms offers flexibility for both couples and families. We have a well equipped cooks kitchen with Everhot range and a stocked larder. Parking for three cars , EV charger , bike storage , gardens and a BBQ this is a great base to enjoy the magic of our Lakeland valley.

The Mews: perfect for up to 7 adults & 3 children

The Mews is a beautifully converted barn, once part of a larger farm, it is now one of a small complex of buildings , surrounded by farmland and overlooking the hills and valleys of the NW Lakes. This is the most peaceful and picturesque area of the Lake District. The location is perfect for walking , cycling, running, open water swimming etc... or for those who like to take things a little easier it is perfect for day trips into the lakes and toward the lesser know scenic west coast .

Spacious cottage with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, sleeps up to 5 people, family, couple, people working locally. Fully equipped, WiFi and TV. A cozy getaway to relax in front of the log burner or a place to soak your feet after an exhilarating day on the Lakeland Fells. Have a drink in the sun trap backyard. Cockermouth is a great base for holidaymakers and adventurers alike. Close to the Lake District for walking, hiking, cycling, paddle boarding, wild water swimming or just relaxing.

Traditional shepherd's hut with views to Skiddaw

The hut is set in the middle of a family farm, forget about your busy lives and sit back and relax in this peaceful location ideal for a romantic retreat, with views up the Lorton valley ,cozy up into front of the wood burning stove and plan your adventure for the next day. The hut has no electricity but has solar lights, and a separate composting toilet, all bed linen is provide along with wood for the stove. A breakfast hamper will be delivered to your door in the morning

Welcome to Highside a delightful cottage set in a secluded location overlooking the tranquil village of Lorton. Dating back to 1695 (as engraved on the fireplace in the kitchen), the cottage retains many original features but has been sympathetically modernised. The cottage resides within our farm, Terrace Farm with open countryside and panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells and numerous Wainwrights including Melbreak, Whiteside, Low Fell, Hopegillhead to name but a few.

AVILABILITY 23 AUGUST - 24 SEPTEMBER NOW DISCOUNTED. 4 Bedrooms. Sleeps 12 without using the living room (2 extra single beds can be created from mattresses in each of bedrooms 3 and 4). Loved by holidaymakers and working groups. Close to excellent restaurants, take-aways, pubs, shops, rivers and the historic town trail. Unlimited parking in the car parks behind and opposite 12 Kirkgate costs £25 per month. Unrestricted free parking is less than 10 minutes away.

A lovely cottage on the edge of the Lake District sleeping up to four. Original features with oak beams, deep bath, comfy beds, wood burning stove. Two bedrooms, king size and twin/super king, the twin beds can be 'zip and linked' together to form super king. Quiet village location with pub. Beautiful lakes and mountains nearby for walks and adventures. Cockermouth market town is 4 miles away, with supermarkets, good independent shops, restaurants and cafes.
