Great spot in a quiet little town on the water

One of the most unique Airbnb places we've stayed in. The apartment has a lot of stairs, but climbing up them is well worth the effort! It is situated on the top floor of an old bank. It's been renovated to be bright and modern with an open concept. The high ceilings and large windows, makes the place airy and bright. Beds were comfortable. A full kitchen had everything needed. Lots of hot water-pressure great. Extra bonuses - a balcony off the back of the apartment overlooks the Manistee River and there's a vintage movie theater just across the street. The river is a freighter channel with drawbridges! You can check in advance to see when ships will pass and if you are lucky, you may see one. The Vouge theater seems to show one new movie, a classic movie, and an indy type movie. The rest of the neighborhood is all 19th century/early 20th century buildings - pubs, coffee shops, a restaurant, antique shops, etc. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is only 50 mins away. Perfect stay. Location was ideal. The apartment is large and comfortable. I was thrilled to stay in an Airbnb home that wasn't absolutely inundated in chemical fabric softeners and fragrances. This home was clean and did not have any chemical overwhelm. Excellent. Would stay again.

Lovely place RIGHT on the lake. My husband and I went for a date weekend of ice fishing and relaxation. Yes-it was a perfect spot to walk out and fish despite the quantities of snow! Restaurants all right there in walking distance- hours are different than what is on menus or online so be aware. Very clean and cozy place that was spacious and warm. We will definitely keep it on our list for the future!

We loved the idea of converting an old motel into a more comfortable and spacious place right across from the beach. The bed was comfortable, "living" room space with table, microwave and fridge were just what we needed, and folks we met were very friendly. We'd stay here again!

We could not be happier with our stay in East Jordan. We had a family wedding to attend at our very old family cottage and we were less than 10 minutes from the site of the wedding. Gloria was very helpful when we had trouble getting the Wi-Fi and did not give up until it was rectified. If we ever need to find a place near to our Michigan cottage again, we will definitely try to stay at this AirB&B again.

My partner and I’s stay at Jeffrey and Holly’s suite was outstanding. The space felt incredibly homely, with cozy decor and thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. It was spotless and well-equipped with snacks, coffee, beach amenities, you name it - and we loved using their kayaks for exploring Silver Lake. They were friendly and provided smooth check-in instructions. The price for the area far beats any hotel we could have booked considering how comfortable, clean, and private the unit was. As other reviews said, mechanical noises and footsteps can be heard, but this did not bother us at all. We loved this unit so much, we will probably check the availability for our next trip to TC. This was hands down the best AirBNB we’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommend!

We very much enjoyed our getaway on Stevens Lake. The setting of this house is peaceful, quiet, and perfect for unwinding. We loved listening to the loon on the lake and our son had a great time down by the lake. The house itself was clean and comfortable and more than adequate for our needs. We arrived late at night on a foggy night, but Jane's directions were perfectly clear so we had no trouble locating this out of the way spot. Would highly recommend.

Great location for ice fishing. Listing is accurate, spacious and clean. Will definitely book again and look forward to checking this home out for a summer trip. Host is very responsive, friendly and helpful!

The lake house was exactly as described and looked just like the photos. Plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked. Lots of blankets and pillows. The lake was beautiful and the kayaks were really nice to have. Would definitely recommend.

Had an amazing long weekend. Great inland lake. The house was perfect for our family. The host was super responsive and had a ton of great recommendations.

Writing this review, with considerable jet lag, I can say the only feedback prompt I paused on was "value." This wasn't a cheap week. But seriously, it shouldn't have be. This is a large, well appointed property in a seriously beautiful lake country setting. Moreover, it's a real house for real people, not a beige/grey generic airbnb-fab unit created for the purpose of a revenue stream. Also- If you are a client with a boat/boat aspirations, don't think twice. This place is awesome.

This was our 2nd time staying at Chris’s place. It really IS perfect. We like to relax and spend time with family and friends in this space. The kitchen was stocked and we found it easy to Prepare meals. The appliances were up to date. The sleeping arrangements were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean.

Loved the beautiful setting amongst mature trees, the lake view and falling to sleep listening to the waves.

This was our second stay with Terry & we will definitely be back! He always goes above & beyond to make sure we have everything we need & is very communicative. Can’t recommend enough!

Absolutely beautiful a frame. It was a perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Such a gorgeous view, cozy interior, and not far from things to do. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

I have stayed at The Ramsdell Inn, which is very quaint, and rich with history and has been my favorite downtown. The Edgewater has been added to that favorite list. I love downtown Manistee and this place is conveniently located across the river. I walked everywhere I wanted downtown. The space is very clean and right on the river. I highly recommend the space. Excellent stay for our family. We try to visit family in Ludington on the Fourth of July every so often and this was a wonderful location. Rachel and the co-hosts were very responsive. Our family had a wonderful stay and from our experience in the area I can say that it was good value as well as Ludington gets very over priced and crowded on the Fourth of July, whereas Hamlin is more peaceful and comfortable. The condo was spacious and nicely furnished. It’s a little hard to get a three level to be the most comfortable temperature for everyone but that is just a problem for any three level structure. Plenty of kayaks and paddle boards for amusement and the teepee with the fire pit was nice as well. We would happily stay again if they would have us.

I loved staying at this Airbnb! The private beach entry was amazing. The place itself was very cozy and peaceful. Dandan was extremely responsive and easy to work with! I definitely would come back again.

Perfect location, super convenient, and able to walk eveywhere. The airbnb was very clean and modern and had all the amenities you need. The hot tun was an extra bonus, we used it almost every night! Great for a girls weekend and visiting all the wineries! Michael the host made sure we knew everything about the airbnb before our stay. It was extremly easy to access everything. I would recommend this place amd definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed this place. The condo was extremely well maintained and clean. The unit matched the description completely. As mentioned in the listing, the condo is on a busy road and there is road noise. But honestly it wasn't a problem for us. The owner does include a sound machine which helps eliminate any road noise at night. We would definitely stay here again sometime.

Absolutely the perfect place to find your inner peace and re-energize! The Nest is exactly that. It is so warm, comfortable and secure that it just so serene. The view is almost undesirable as it took my breath away and brought happy tears to my eyes. As a 60 year old mom of 2 amazing kiddos 11 and 9 who are both Neurodivergent it was the best medicine for my heart and soul. We will be back hopefully many times as both of my kiddos felt right at home. My husband as well was in awe of this Treasure I was able to find. Thank you Charlie and Suzy for allowing our little family enjoy something that never would have imagine as possible for us. it was heaven on earth.
