Beautiful location, private, pristine, peaceful. Lots of space, well set up for water activities, fireside chats, and relaxing the day away. The sauna is a wonderful addition. Well stocked with lots of towels and firewood, great layout with an open kitchen and comfortable living room.

This was our first time visiting Grand Manan, and after our stay at Alex's place, it certainly won't be our last!! right from booking, Alex was very responsive, with local recommendations, to even calling to see about Kayaking for us. Our stay was during the off season in Grand Manan and the weather for 2 of the 3 days was less then ideal, but we still managed to get around and visit some local spots. This airbnb is located maybe 5/10 mins from the Ferry, making it very convenient, close to a convenient store as well as their local Independent grocery store. There are a few games provided as well as binoculars !( witch came in handy when we seen whales in the bay out back !! ), The hot tub was immaculate and was a great way to keep the serenity after a peaceful day of exploring. We will most definitely be back, especially once the hustle and bustle of touriat season comes around ! if your looking for a place to stay, we definitely recommend Alex's place ! What a beautiful spot! My siblings and I had an amazing stay and highly recommend checking out this piece of paradise! To be back on Lake Utopia after 15 years has been so memorable! We are so fortunate to stay on the same lake that we grew up on and visited every summer. This incredible space was absolutely stunning. Thank you Catherine! We will definitely be back!

I’m not one for taking a lot of time to write a review, but this place is the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. Clean, beautiful, peaceful, private, and the attention to details is amazing. More than we ever expected, this place is amazing!

We enjoyed our time at Castaway Ocean Lodge. The location is very peaceful and scenic. We wanted to escape from the city and relax while taking in the ocean views- the deck was a perfect place to hangout. We had already been to the area before, so we knew that most of our time would be spent at the cottage. It had everything we needed. Loads of board games, all cooking necessities and even some kayaks! We explored Crescent beach in Lockeport and drove down to Carter’s Beach for the day (well worth it). Thanks for having us!

What a beautiful location , rich in history. The grounds are amazing with lots to do including walking trails. The receptionist was very friendly and took the time to give us a detailed explanation of where we were staying and where all the amenities were located. The breakfast was very good and the location is central to many attractions. Loved we could visit with our two dogs . I would certainly stay here again.

We were looking for a quiet place near Annapolis Royal yet out-of-town, and we found it. The trips to surrounding towns, restaurants, and tourist sites were easy and there was little traffic. Although not all the rooms in the cabin have been fully renovated yet, Patrick thoughtfully provided comfortable furnishings, and there were many 'homey' touches that we appreciated, like adequate lighting in each room, good quality linens and towels, and flowers on the table. We enjoyed the well-supplied kitchen, great shower, and deck for relaxing, outdoor breakfasts, and views of Milbury Lake from the private beach. Patrick was a responsive host and made sure we arrived safely and had everything we needed.

The location was so beautiful and quiet! The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of seating inside and outside. The one amenity that we missed was a dryer but the portable washer worked well. The host was very communicative and we felt like we get got a great bargain. Even though I came from the west coast, I got up at sunrise each morning and it was memorable!

We travel to the area with some frequency but this was our first stay at Debra's cottage. The location was quiet and the view out to the water especially at sunrise was beautiful. Our dog felt right at home both inside and outside. Close to town but far enough out to enjoy the peace of your surroundings. We will definitely make this our place to stay when visiting the area!

We felt like we had a break from the world. It was peaceful, very cozy, charming, and comfortable. We slept like babies, even though it was cooler weather and we had to put wood in the stove for heat (something we enjoyed immensely). Kitchen was reasonably equipped, so we just cooked our own meals. If you’re ok with a few bugs and spiders here and there (nothing dangerous), you’ll love it. We plan to be back.

Wow, wow, wow. What an amazing experience at Nancy & Darren’s Airbnb. It was as beautiful in person as it was in the pictures. Five stars across the board from communication with Nancy, the decor, design, all of the intricate touches, it was perfect, last but not least was the advantage of being able to bring our dog Dolly. We will be booking again in the future.

It was a pleasure meeting, Brandon, Rebecca and baby Maeve! The cottage was quaint and cosy, with authentic/vintage cottage decor. Location is amazing for closeness to the Bay of Fundy, and only 14k from the larger towns. They welcomed us into their own home, right next door and gave us a tour of their ongoing renovations. Such a lovely young family! Would stay here again!

Tracy’s Maces Bay home was exactly that! A very comfortable and “feel right at home” home. It was stocked with amenities including all types of coffee and tea, which are often not found. The refurbished bathroom is beautiful as well as the sunroom. The view of the tides going in and out is amazing. Tracy was a great hostess and accommodated a great stay at very short notice. We also enjoyed the deer in the yard. A trip to St John’s to see the reversing falls was interesting, as well as eating lobster and wild blueberries nearby.

Vince's cabin is the ideal retreat! Nestled in a secluded spot, it's just a short walk down a wooded path to the beach. The backyard features a deck overlooking a fire pit, perfect for evening bonfires; Vince thoughtfully provided kindling and firewood. Inside, the cabin has a warm and inviting feel. My daughter described it as "cozy rustic." The beds were comfortable, and the peaceful surroundings ensured I slept wonderfully both nights. Vince has thought of everything you might need during your stay, even a spare toothbrush in case, like one of my children, you forget yours. Vince also went the extra mile by providing breakfast for the first morning, a lovely touch. The internet connection was reliable, and I appreciated the convenience of the washer and dryer. The clawfoot bathtub was perfect for a long, relaxing soak. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would gladly return if it's available. Vince was prompt in responding to texts and a gracious host. I wholeheartedly recommend

We had such a wonderful 3 night stay here! The cottage is so clean,nicely decorated,spacious and comfortable. The unit for ac/heat works is very fast and efficient. We loved all the sitting areas in and around the cottage,and really enjoyed sitting on the dock for morning coffee and evening cocktails and were lucky to see beautiful sunrises and even a gorgeous moonrise from there one night as well. The kayaks and canoe were such a bonus,and were so fun to tour around the beautiful lake on. It was so quiet and peaceful this time of year and we could even hear the loons on the lake. We also enjoyed exploring some of the trails,towns and restaurants nearby that Tammy suggested in her welcome book. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us,we can’t wait to return! 😊

What a perfect, adorable and sparkling clean place to stay! Minute walk to the beach. Great location for the 4 of us to explore Annapolis valley towns and a great whale watching trip! We would definitely stay at Wonda’s place again.

As a former teacher, I give Joseph A+ in communication. He answered every question I had, respon\ded very quickly and provided clear directions. The cottege was very clean when I arrived, and the location is absolutely beautiful. If you are an active person, there is so much to do in the Lubec area, and the FDR Bridge to beautiful Campobello Island is just a few miles away, making for an easy and most enjoyable day trip.

Our entire vacation was ruined. We spent a week touring NB and PEI and never again experienced the level of serenity and hospitality that we enjoyed at Debbie & Neil’s. The home was immaculate, and Neil took the time to show us around even though we arrived later than expected. Upon leaving, we instantly regretted not booking the place for the entire week (though it likely wasn’t available). We are already looking for an excuse to come back and spend some quality time in L’Etete and with Debbie and Neil.

Absolutely beautiful, serene, quiet, private location with large windows for the best water view. Cottage is very clean and has everything needed for a relaxing vacation. We especially enjoyed the bonfires and board games. This is our second visit and we look forward to the next.

The A-frame cabin has a beautiful lakeside view. While it was a little small for our family of 5 and forced us to unplug, there were many delightful details to our stay like arriving to thoughtful snacks and produce prepared for our stay and discovery of some of the small local businesses. Nathalie was an extremely proactive and communicative host, even checking in around navigating the Thanksgiving holiday and severe weather event we hadn’t expected during our travel. She made our stay very comfortable.
