Camping Kārkliņi is designed for those who enjoy solitude, as there are no neighboring campsites that could disturb your peace. The swimming area is just a 1-minute walk from the campsite (it is a shared swimming area) and features a pier for swimming. Life jackets are provided free of charge. Kārkliņi was built in 1892 Kārkliņi were wealthy farmers who owned a horse stable, as well as cows, pigs and other animals as they were an integral part of the farm at the time! In 1979 the house was bought from Kārkliņi by my grandmother Zigrīda Stungure who was once a brilliant actress at the Daile Theater, She and her husband Jānis used the house as a summer's residence In 2013 I took over Kārkliņi. For the past 10 years, I have returned the house to its original form as it was in 1920
