This cabin was absolutely beautiful. It had everything we needed for our stay. It was just my husband, my adult daughter and me, but the space is very ideal for a larger family and very kid friendly. The location was close to Mammoth Cave, Horse Cave, Cave City, and Bowling Green, which were all places we visited while there. We enjoyed the Gothic tour at Mammoth cave and the tour at Hidden River Cave in Horse Cave. The guest contact, Beth, was very responsive to my questions and very sweet at giving us information on the area. The cabin itself is quite out there (in terms of location) but we don't mind that. We don't mind driving a ways in order to get a cabin that is comfortable and offers a nice location. Due to the recent flooding we didn't visit Nolan Lake and some other areas but KY never disappoints. It is a beautiful state and we will be back some day (been there twice now). I would highly recommend this stay. I was very pleased.

We absolutely loved our get away to the Hillbilly Hill-ton. Tucked away from everything, we got to focus on having fun as a family away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We did Mammoth Cave, enjoyed the hot tub, and loved the saloon! Already missing it!

Great place to stay! Follow the written driving directions.. not the gps.. as stated in said driving directions lol!

Beautiful cabin in a peaceful area not far from the caves. Amenities provided, comfortable beds. We made some great memories here!!

Very peaceful place. Rental was very well maintained. Wish that I had more time to stay there.

It’s a fantastic place my only problem is that there A LOT of ticks all over the place. I understand that it’s in the middle of nature but I think the place needs pest control because it can be dangerous.

The group very much enjoyed the stay and the amenities including the hot tub!

Beautiful cabin. Plenty of space and bedrooms. Wasn’t used to pitch black at night. There were no kind of night lights anywhere so we had to leave the bedroom lights on low. Very peaceful and quiet area. Each morning I sat out on the swing with my coffee and listened to the birds. Enjoyed the hot tub. But the first night it was a good 104°. Second night it was 97° and the third day it was 85° so I don’t know what happened there but hopefully that gets fixed. Overall I would stay there again.

Location was great! Comfortable beds, clean cabin! Loved the view from the porch!

We brought our three kids to stay a few days for spring break. We had the best time! There is a great long hike on the property and we all loved the waterfall and cave feature. Our kids were excited to spot two bats! The lake was peaceful and it was so relaxing to sit on the porch and watch the sun come up over it. The only downside to the cabin itself was the seating (couch and chairs) are not very comfortable for just lounging and reading, but that was ok for us since we were outside more often than not. I would also say the loft sleeping area worked for our kids (slender 8 and 10 year old) but any bigger kids may not have fit. The private dock was nice for fishing and the kids caught several bluegill. All in all would recommend and would return!

Stay here! a lovely private location at the top of a hill. Out there - but worth it. We didn't mind the drive to different caves every day, and spent a lot of time in the cabin. It's well stocked and perfect for families. We loved playing games and cooking over the fire at night. Definitely would visit again.

A perfect cabin for our visit to Mammoth Cave! Super cozy, easy to find, and hosts were great. I would definitely recommend this spot for any National Park visitors!

Our Grandkids were off their IPads and in their glory, hiking and fishing on the property. If you need a slice of heaven on earth this is a place to relax, unwind and enjoy nature. Perfect gathering place for families of all ages.

Cozy, clean cabin nestled in beautiful scenery with ponds, nearby lake for kayaking, hiking trail with cave, waterfall, Billy Goats gruff & trolls. Hosts were very responsive. Would be a great place for family reunions. Remote--DG Market about 20 minutes away. Large porches to relax & take in the views or firepit to gather around. Toured Crystal Onyx Cave with kitchy picture ops. Visited Bowling Green. Want to come back to track a corvette & visit museum. Booked 3 nights--should have planned a whole week!

We booked here for the location, it was in between the Nikon Lake and Mammoth Park, an easy drive to each. We were surprised by how much the property had to offer. We want to come back and spend a few days just relaxing on the lovely lake, kayaking, and doing the hiking trails. We had so much fun exploring the waterfalls and cave. Overall, close to everything you’d want to do, but nice enough to not want to leave the premise! We will definitely be back.

Cute cozy cabin up in the woods. A perfect place to rest on our long road trip. Misty has really thought of everything you might need, the cabin is well stocked with lots of extras and fun things to do. We would definently stay again.

The cabin was a dream. Had everything we needed, including the nature views. The deck was amazing for kids since there were no exits that the kids could sneak through. We loved our stay!

This place was a dream! My 5 year old kept calling it her fairy tale cottage - and it really was. From the frog filled waterfall, to all the tiny characters throughout the house, and beautiful intricate wood designs, we loved every moment. We cancelled Dinosaur World because my kids wanted to stay at the cabin. It was seamless - wood for the bonfire and a lighter on top of the stack. Fresh towels, pillows, sheets, coffee all provided. We slept like babies in the AC and enjoyed checkers while watching movies. Thank you for this beautiful space and sharing your gifts of design and coziness.

Very easy to get situated in the cabin. It was very clean and private which is what we look for. It was nice to have pancakes in the morning. Nice treat. We usually take our own coffee but we forgot. I was excited to see it was stocked with coffee too. Kitchen has everything you need to cook. Hot tub was already hot when we arrived! They had beautiful flowers and fire starters for the fire pit. We enjoyed the games available and they even had some books to peruse. Upon entry they had the fireplace and some music waiting for us. It was a nice touch. There were plenty of towels for the shower and hot tub. . Sorry for making more laundry for you but thanks for all the towels! It was also an easy drive to bowling green where we had dinner two nights. Equally easy drive to mammoth cave.

Awesome stay at Almost Heaven in Brownsville. Whole family had a blast at Mammoth caves , great time in bowling green but really loved watching the kids explore and do some fishing. Wood for the campfire and a great set of local tips made for a great stay. The home is isolated and in great shape. Good sized kitchen and nice screened in porch. We had a great time and can’t wait to return!

Adored this cabin! Celebrated 30 year Parental Anniversary & Retirement, as well as Easter. Cabin was cozy, lovely. Yard was spacious for family pictures. Area recently had flooding, and water had just receded so timing was good for being able to get to the cabin and then visiting Mammoth caves. Gorgeous. Priceless family time and memories. Thank you!

Our group of 9 had a great stay at this home. There was more than enough space for us all. It was very clean, the mattresses were comfortable, and I appreciated the abundance of coffee provided. We also appreciated the clear directions for getting to the actual home, as it is tucked away and could be confusing. It is very out of the way, but that's what we were looking for. Would absolutely stay again.
