Alojamiento está a 5-10 minutos caminando del centro histórico. Estaba muy limpio todo y hubo buena comunicación. Recomendable!

Nice shady, plant covered terrace. Inside was spacious and comfortable and well supplied with toiletries, kitchen equipment etc. The garage to park in was very useful for our small car. Check in worked very well, the properties cleaner was there to welcome us with Kristina on the phone to pass on information required in English. Quietly situated, close to amenities with a walk up to the old part of town, taxis are easily available if you don't want to walk. Lots to see and do in Gjirokaster, castle, bazaar, museums, bars and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.

Eine tolle und schöne Wohnung direkt unterhalb der Burg. Leider waren wir nur eine Nacht da und damit zu kurz, um die vielen Möglichkeiten zu erkunden. Die Wohnung ist wirklich groß und toll geschnitten. Dazu ist sie sehr nett eingerichtet und die Küche ist super ausgestattet. Besonders schön ist der große Balkon über zwei Seiten, mit einer tollen Aussicht und wunderbarer Morgensonne. Es ist am besten Richtung Stadion zu fahren und von dort in die „Rruga Doktor Vasil Laboviti“ einzubiegen. Für uns war es zunächst schwierig, die Wohnung zu finden. Positiv hervorheben möchte ich auch, dass wir mit zwei Autos vor der Tür parken konnten. Wir kommen gerne nochmal und dann gerne auch länger.

Great Airbnb - the location is only 10min from the Bazaar and super close to the castle. We were greeted very kindly by Adela. Parking was great. We had an amazing view from the balcony. Definetly recommanded !

We had a truly wonderful stay at Rudina’s place in Gjirokastër! I stayed with my family, and from the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed and at home. The apartment was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, offering a perfect blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. Rudina was an exceptional host – kind, responsive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. She even gave us great local tips that made our stay even more special. The location is ideal, within walking distance to the old bazaar and the castle, yet peaceful enough to enjoy quiet family time. We highly recommend Rudina’s place to anyone visiting Gjirokastër – it’s perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking to experience the city in the best way possible. Heel prettig verblijf gehad! Het huisje ligt perfect in het oude centrum vlakbij alle leuke restaurants en barretjes! Goed beloopbaar en van alles te zien! Zeker een aanrader, ik zou er zo nog een keer heen gaan!

Don't think about it. Just book this place now! This was exactly the kind of place I was looking for. I was staying in Sarande at a hotel prior to booking this place. The hotel was great but I wanted something closer to the REAL Albania. I found it here. I was actually surprised that I found this place on Airbnb. It was old school Airbnb...where someone opens up their home to you and you are able to experience the hospitality of the host or hostess. It's not your typical Airbnb place either. This is a typical family farm that is found in so many places in eastern Europe. It is not the kind of farm you would find in Canada or the US that are hundred of acres in size. The home is situated on about 0.5 acres or 0.2 hectares of land surrounded by the typical rock walls you find surrounding many homes in Albania. What kind of animals do you find here? Chickens, sheep, goats, rabbits and even ducks. Yes, there is a garden for vegetables and grape vines throughout the property. Please don't think this a petting zoo farm... this is a working family farm that provides food for the family and you if you stay here. It is a modest home that has been in the family for many years, it is on a plot of land that has provided the food and shelter for the family for countless generations. I have nothing but enormous respect for the hostess and her family. It was the kind of home that my parents grew up in Ukraine. This is what attracted me to this place. These people are salt of the earth. Humble, happy and proud. Respect. I could write a short book about my stay here. To sum up, it was wonderful. I have stayed at my fair share of Airbnb places, but this is my most favorite place ever. I did not want to leave and I do plan to return and stay much longer than the ~10 days I was there. What are the highlights of my visit? 1. The hostess Alexandra and her dear mother. Real people. 2. Coffee with fresh goat milk every morning. Yes, it's that good. 3. The sunrise in the valley. Breathtaking. 4. The amazing hikes up the mountain and in through the valley. There are so many ruins and hidden cool places to discover. 5. Taking the goats and sheep grazing in the morning. Yes I did that!!! 6. I'm not going to give it all away...book this place and I'll let you discover all the wonderful things here on your own. Alexandra and her mother don't speak English. This was not a problem at all. I downloaded the microsoft translator to my phone. It allows two people to communicate back and forth at the push of a button. It made communicating with the hostess very easy. I had many wonderful conversations with Alexandra and her dear mother many times using this translator. So you will be just fine. Look... this is a farm. It smells like a farm where the animals live and it has bugs...get over it. If you are looking for Disney World or the Ritz Carlton...look somewhere else. This place is perfect the way it is and I will be returning in the near future. The apartment is clean and well equipped. The internet works great. My cell phone worked just fine. It has a great stove for cooking and a washing machine to wash your clothes. It has a TV, but why would you watch TV when you are in such a wonderful environment to explore? There are places to buy groceries to cook food...OR...you can arrange with Alexandra to prepare meals for you each day. That is what I did. Breakfast and dinner. So I didn't have to cook or buy anything extra to survive. It's up to you. I chose to eat home cooked food from the farm...how can you beat that??? There is so much more to say...but... Don't think about it. Just book this place now!

Dit verblijf is net nieuw, maar zeker bevallen! Old Town is ongeveer een kwartiertje lopen. Kamer ziet er goed uit en er is ook nog een leuk dakterrasje met mooi uitzicht. Hele vriendelijke host! Hij zorgde dat de volgende ochtend een heerlijk ontbijtje voor ons klaar stond.

Orlando responds fast, friendly and with efficiency. The apartment is located next to the busstation and easy to get a local bus to the Bazar. Clean apartment with airco 🫠 good price-quality!

Alfred is a wonderful host. The house has a stunning view and very cozy. Will be back!

The host was very nice and let us know of local cultural events happening that we could attend. The space was very nice and exactly as listed. The host also allowed us to stay for an additional couple hours after check out, allowing us to further experience the city. The only downfall was that the listed parking spot was actually public street parking. While we found a spot right outside the apartment right away, I could see this being a problem during a busier time of the year. Overall, we could not have asked for a more helpful and flexible host!

Andreas Mama hat uns in diesem wunderschönen historischen Haus willkommen geheißen. Trotz Sprachbarriere war sie extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war niedlich eingerichtet und der Balkon lad zum verweilen ein. Die Lage des Hauses ist perfekt: ruhig und trotzdem sehr nah an der Altstadt, wo das Leben tobt. Einziges Manko: das Bett ist sehr hart.

The apartment is really wonderful! It is indeed luxury and has a great shower and beds including mattresses comparing to regular Albanian houses. Also the communication went easy and correct. Kostaq and his family (which live at the same property nearby) are really kind and generous. Quiet and green area as it is up hill. Parking space next to the apartment which is great.

Die Unterkunft bietet einen wunderschönen Blick über die Stadt und das Meer. Wer will kann ein bisschen weiter wandern und in der Nähe den Sonnenuntergang genießen. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und top ausgestattet. Wir haben uns sofort zuhause gefühlt und sehr gut zurecht gefunden. Xhulio ist ein sehr zuvorkommender Gastgeber und überließ und als Wilkommensgeschenk sogar eine Flasche hausgemachten Wein und eine lokale Süßigkeit. Alles in einem war der Aufenthalt sehr schön und auf jeden Fall weiterzuempfehlen.

The super host of super hosts . Chris is incredibly helpful and makes the check in so simple. He is extremely responsive and even helped us out out with a minor medical emergency. The apartment is prefect with an amazing location.

Selbst Regentage ließen sich hier angenehm verbringen. In der Stadt ist man super schnell und der Supermarkt und die Bäckerei 2 min entfernt ist ideal.
