I had a great time with my mother. The place was easy to find, we enjoyed our stay and the view is absolutely amazing. I am a Durbanite, but I haven’t lived home in over 12 years so it was nice to take out my mom for her 64th birthday and enjoy this lovely home as our vacation home. It was sad to leave and I wish I booked more days, we will be returning on another family vacation.

What can I say except WOW! Started off the day watching the sun rise over the ocean while enjoys a wonderful cup of tea on the two chairs dedicated to Nono and Maxime. We could then walk down to Thompson Bay beach directly from the garden. When a day in the waves was over, a short walk up the steps to the outdoor shower by the pool for a quick dip then a quick braai on the amazing stainless steel braai by the pool. To end it all, going to sleep with the doors open listening to the waves crashing all night! And in the morning, Elizabeth was there to sort out our messy dishes and Russel washed off all the kids beach toys…. I can’t recommend the place enough and hope to be back next year. We have found a new gem - Sovereign Sands in Blythedale. Away from the chaos of Ballito and surrounds, it was a breath of fresh air to be a short forest-walk away from a pristine uncrowded beach. It felt like Mozambique (beautiful quiet beaches, dune forest etc), but with the added convenience of Checkers Sixty60 delivering to the Estate. Blythedale itself is a simple town with not much to do, but The Estate is a short beach walk away from Grumpy's beach bar, which was awesome (and made us think of Mozam even more with their jugs of R&R). The accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable, and while we wished we had a sea-view - the sounds of the ocean were awesome. The kitchen was stocked with all the usual kitchen gadgets (even a Nespresso machine) you'd need. Elsie was communicative and friendly. The Estate felt very safe & well-run. The communal pool area boasted a very large pool that the kids loved (but the adults wished that there was some comfy seating around).

Thank you Chad for a great stay ! The location of your home is perfect and the views from the house overlooking the sea and lagoon are spectacular. It was very peaceful sitting on the deck watching the sunsets. The kitchen was well equipped but lacking a dishwasher. Overall a great experience !

Spectacular, from the location, the views, the beach access, space, and amenities, this place is heaven for those looking for a quiet, private breakaway to a pristine area just off the M4. Also close enough to Ballito for shopping. The house is perfect for families wanting to relax and enjoy the view, and really does have all you need. Debra was also an excellent host, very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing place with access to a lovely beach. Roelof was a great host who went out of his way to address any of our concerns. Definitely recommend.

The fact that you can literally just cross the road and be on the beach makes this place a gem! The patio area chairs were so soft and comfortable, and it was so amazing that we could relax on the patio while listening to the ocean. Some small things to note - one, the garden is not fully “enclosed” so if you have a pet, keep in mind that there’s another airbnb and the owner sharing the same property as you. The unit also lists dstv and a tv, but unfortunately the tv seems too out of date to run dstv smoothly, and makes it unwatchable due to it getting stuck every few seconds. Second bed setup by the tv was so comfortable we enjoyed just relaxing there without the tv anyway. The bed was also comfy and there were plenty pillows! The kitchen was generously stocked with some basic food supplies and was very clean and the perfect size. Warren is one of the most proactive and friendly hosts we’ve met. He even brought us 10l of spring water during our stay! We recommend Wazo’s 🤟🏄‍♂️

This home is spectacular. We loved the solid older home feel of it, with the hardwood floors and the beach house décor. The view is stunning! We watched whales every morning. We totally enjoyed the huge spaces, including the kitchen and yards. It was too cold to use the pool, but just having it gave the resort vibe. Gary and Michelle were very responsive and so kind. We felt like we had friends by the time we left.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here. We are already planning our next visit! The apartment matched the description and was exactly what we needed for a weekend away. It’s right on the beach, so you can pop up and down easily and enjoy the view and soothing sound of the ocean from the comfort of your balcony any time of day. The apartment was well equipped with everything you need to stay in and rotate between the beach and home. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Ballito!

The place is beautiful and clean, definitely worth the visit. I’m definitely going back to Lucentha home it’s beautiful.

It was our second visit to Matt&Nadine’s place and once again everything was excellent. You can’t find a better spot and more comfortable unit. The location is magical and so easy if you are travelling with a family. We will definately be back. Thank you Matt&Nadine, you go above and beyond.

Che’s place is exactly how it is advertised. We loved everything about the place and location (spacious, clean and resourced, walkable distance to restaurants and to the 🏖️ beach). The ocean view and sound from the apartment is breathtaking, loved watching the sun rise!

Wow wow!! Myself and my family had a very nice stay at Trish’s place. Everything was wonderful from check in she welcomed us to her warm Home made sure we understood the surroundings all her instructions clear and simple. The place was much better than the photos, beautiful scenery nice and spacious for the whole family to enjoy. A stone throw away from the beach which the kids loved very much. I would love to book this place again Trish is an amazing host. Thanks for everything

Heather was extremely helpful and responsive, she was a gracious host. Zama, who cleaned the apartment daily was fantastic, polite and friendly, doing a tremendous job. The unit is just sublime, stunning sea views and quite Lou located (direct beach access with the high security face recognition was well appreciated)

The house was amazing, just what we needed and served our pupose perfectly The location as well, is beautiful Everything about our stay was perfect There was plenty of spcae for everyone and the setup for socialising was incredibly comfortable and to our needs I would suggest to anyone looking for a great place to stay close to the ocean, this is it

we had the most amazing holiday, I have fallen in love with Umdloti. The beach water was lovely and warm, the weather was just perfect and everywhere was so easy to get to. The apartment was just perfect, the views in the morning was to die for. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us, we loved it.

Pictures dont do the place justice. A lovely place. Easy access to the beach, 15min walk to oceans mall and tons of restaurant's. Two tvs. No complaints

We had a great relaxing family weekend away in this amazing space. Wish we could have stayed longer. The short walk directly onto the beach via an access controlled gate allowed us to enjoy the beach. The private pool was put to good use on returning from the beach to get away from the wind. The house is spacious with a great layout. Our host Elsie was great. We will definitely be back!

Great location with breath taking views of the ocean.. The apartment was well-equipped and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Communication was seamless! Candice was responsive and considerate, ensuring our stay was comfortable from start to finish.

Lovely, cozy and modern apartment that is a short walk from the sea. It was clean, had good enough WiFi, a TV and air conditioning. There was good security and the kitchen was well appointed, and was looked after by very friendly staff. The neighborhood does not have suitable shops or restaurants nearby unfortunately so we had to drive to Shaka’s Rock to get food and supplies. If there’s anything to improve, the apartment was slightly dank and the host only provided decaf instant coffee and not nearly enough milk. Otherwise it was a good stay and great value for money. I would easily recommend it and likely return again.

It was an absulute delight to stay at Riani. She was friendly and kind, we enjoyed the private beach access for morning strolls. The unit was inviting and sparkling clean. Everything was in working condition, they were flexible with our interesting hours due to a sports tournament... Overall, scroll no more and stay with Riani (-:
