Fantastic property, very beautiful setting, house is full of character and has an amazing beach outlook. I would highly recommend this property, especially to anyone visiting from overseas or who has not experienced staying this close to the beach. One small bit of constructive critique however is the attempt to monetise almost every aspect of the stay - e.g. early check in and late check out is excessively monetised. Extra linen was left in an accessible area but also had a sign stating not for use - $10 per item charged. This just felt off and took away from what was a great stay (just slightly). That all being said it is a very unique and fun property. I would return again.

Stayed with my adult kids and grand baby. We had an absolutely amazing stay at David’s accommodation! The home was set out well to suit all of our needs and had recently been updated. Access to the kayaks was an excellent way to enjoy the ocean and have fun together. Such a beautiful location central to heaps of local sites of interest, not to mention the gateway to Abel Tasman National Park. Good comms from host - very easy to book and access. Would highly recommend and would definitely return, if in the area! Thanks again David.

Wir haben uns direkt wohlgefühlt. Das Cottage ist abgelegen und bietet die Möglichkeit, dem Alltag und der Dynamik komplett zu entfliehen. Zudem hat man auch einen direkten Blick aufs Wasser. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und legen viel Wert darauf, dass man alles für seinen Aufenthalt hat. Vielen lieben Dank für diesen schönen Aufenthalt. :)

I had a wonderful time here - such a beautiful location and my dog had a blast on the beach with Stella who was much better at bringing back sticks than him. And the shower is amazing!

We have had the most amazing stay! The apartment is even better than it looks in the photos! View to die for from the enormous balcony, super comfortable beds, high end appliances & friendly accommodating hosts… we don’t want to leave!

We found the Clifftop Retreat cabin suited our needs perfectly and Bob provided an excellent level of communication, service and local tips. He also ensured the pantry and wines were stocked with high quality local products. The accomodation was very good with comfortable bed, terrific functional kitchen and amazing clifftop views of the surrounding bay and local area. The location was perfect for our walking trips up into the Abel Tasman National Park and also fantastic local restaurants and wineries. Bob also organised a pick up from the airport for us as we arrived late at night. Overall a fantastic stay and would certainly recommend Clifftop Retreats very highly.

A wonderfully unique property in a beautiful location. We had a brilliant stay with our family at this homely and picturesque spot. There were great places to eat and drink within walking distance too. We would love to return one day!

The house is charming & feels like a well loved, well kept family holiday home. Kitchen fully equipped, a delight to find bookshelves full of games & books. The heated pool, hot tub, gorgeous deck, private path to the shore were wonderful to have. Nocturnal calls of little blue penguins a bonus. In a prime location which felt private & secure. We had a couple of issues during our stay which the management company were quick & helpful to try to resolve. Would love to return.

A wonderful home in a beautiful location with stunning views. We particularly enjoyed the pool, spa and being able to walk to amazing restaurants and wine bar. Sally and Wayne were friendly helpful hosts. Highly recommend staying

Beautiful place and location, and Sally and Wayne are very welcoming. A cute little village with great restaurants and ice cream is just a short walk down the beach. I highly recommend this spot for anyone, but especially for people interested in sitting on the deck soaking up the gorgeous scenery !

Great apartment and location. We loved our long weekend there. Apartment has everything you could want and very comfortable - especially the bed! Highly recommended.

We were celebrating my father's 89th birthday with a small road trip around the top of the South Island, Jenny's home was the perfect place for us to do this. From the moment we booked Jenny provided us with quick replies to questions about things to do and see, her communication was fantastic. We liked the house, location, views and the host so much we extended our stay for an extra few days. We were very pleased to find a coffee machine in the kitchen and some really tasty local coffee blends to try out at the start of each day. We loved sitting on the deck in the late afternoon sun, taking in the spectacular views over the ocean and Kaiteriteri beach, this was a daily delight. Wir hatten auf unserer Reise durch ganz Neuseeland einige Unterkünfte - die von Tim und Michelle gehört zu den allerbesten. Die Unterkunft ist Tip Top in Ordnung, man hat alles was man braucht (und noch viel mehr): von der Küchenausstattung, den Spielen, den outdoorrmöglichkeiten (freie Fahrräder und Kajaks) sowie der persönlichen Beratung zu möglichen Aktivitäten in der Gegend. We had an incredible week staying in Tata in this batch. Loved our stay and the house was perfect! Kylie was very responsive and proactive in her communication. We would love to stay again!

The Ligar Bay house is a unique experience. The location is fabulous. The house itself is wonderful in its functionality and beauty. It makes you realise how relaxing life can be if you leave out unnecessary luxuries. We feel very lucky we had the opportunity to live here for a week. More over Golden Bay is a beautiful part of NZL, and Ligar Bay is the perfect spot to enjoy it. You can do parts of the Abel Tasman walkway to the east (awsome) and explore Cape Farewell to the west (astounding). Definitely recommended.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Kate’s place. Great location, great view and very well equipped home. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in Nelson.

In short, one of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed at (and we have been to quite a few). My partner and I spend 2 weeks in the Best Island Bus and had the most amazing time. We honestly barely left the property because we enjoyed it so much! The location is beautiful and so calming - your stress is immediately gone as you hang in the hammock and watch the birds in the trees. It was the best place to disconnect and rest. The bus is fully equipped and so well done - has everything you could want! Simon and Clare are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. You can tell how much love and thought they have put into this place and they go above and beyond for their guests. Would recommend this to everyone! We would come back in a heartbeat and were sad to leave.
