Really enjoyed our stay, it was just what we were looking for. A nice peaceful stay in the country set on a beautiful farm in idilic surroundings. The Old Calf Shed is close enough to amenities with them being around a 15 minute drive but far away enough that you cannot hear any traffic so it really is very peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed walking around and exploring the farm, meeting the farm animals and taking in the fresh country air and scenery. The nearest village is just about a 45 minute stroll. The accommodation itself is plenty big enough for 4 people as described even though there was only 2 of us, so we had plenty of room. The eggs and milk were nice touches and the tea and coffee supplied so that we could have a nice brew when we arrived. The accommodation has plenty of cooking appliances and utensils, we didn’t want for anything. Pauline is a very responsive host, friendly and very welcoming, we could not have wished to have picked a better place to stay. Thank you! X

Frank was excellent about the whole trip - arranged parking for us, offered an early check in when he understood we’d be arriving in Whittlesey earlier than the listed check in, very fast response to a question about where to find an extra duvet, and very friendly throughout. Tucked away in the embrace of the countryside, this Birds’ Nest is nothing short of a dream. The moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the soothing sounds of birdsong, the rhythmic tap of a woodpecker, and the view across the fields where lambs played . Mark, ever dedicated to his home, was mowing the extensive lawn, before walking the dogs across the fields. Meanwhile, Sarah welcomed us and guided us through the mudroom to the Bird’s Nest, which exudes both tranquility and spaciousness--but it was the view that most caught our eye. This place brims with authenticity, outdoorness, and space. If you’re lucky, you might see a fox or a hang glider. Our visit here was not simply a stay, but an experience: one of peace, comfort, and timelessness.

I went there with my wife for her birthday and spent a couple of nights. The place is very serene. Apartment is impeccable and felt like home. The spa staff is awesome. They even helped me plan a surprise for my wife. The host is also very helpful and responsive.

Everything went very well. The flat is comfortable, especially the living room upstairs! We had a great time. Edward was very kind and it was easy to communicate.

This apartment is in an excellent location in Oxford. Everything can be reached on foot. We were there for the May Morning celebrations and could access everything easily. The flat is well equipped despite being small. There was quite a lot of noise from traffic at night. We enjoyed our stay. Oxford in May sunshine is hard to beat!

Two years after our last stay in Binsey, we were very happy to return for another week. It was a very nice welcome, we had lovely conversations with Alison and Steve. Binsey is unique, quite, excellent if you need time to write or read. Rent a bike for journeys to Jerchio, the city center, colleges or the University hospital. We can highly recommend this place and hope to return in the near future.

Femi’s flat is very well decorated and also well stocked making for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Location is perfect in the town center. Femi is a great host, giving clear instructions in advance and being highly responsive during the stay. I would highly recommend this apartment and would happily stay again.

Beautiful cottage style house very homely with lots of personal expression in the decor and personal effects (instruments and furnishings) Very spacious both inside and outside. Close enough to Milton Keynes for our event and close to surrounding towns but very quiet residential area with quaint little strip of shops and a post office. Was ideal stay for our purposes at a time where all accommodation was high it was fairly priced although I did mention it was not most ideal price but when you get there and see that your in their home and protecting their space it is clear why it’s priced as such. This is a stay that will feel like you’re in someone’s home, however, the communication and instructions allow you to feel at ease and welcome. Neighbours seemed lovely and friendly and the cat was a welcomed visitor. Cannot fault the property or its amenities at all would love to stay again

We had a fantastic stay at Susan’s peaceful cottage. The location is stunning, with beautiful views and serene surroundings. The cottage itself was spotless, and every room was clean and comfortable. Check-in was seamless, and Susan was a responsive and thoughtful host who went above and beyond to cater to our every need. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

Stayed for a few days when visiting Oxford, would book again and stay for longer next time.

Sarah’s place was a great place to stay. We visited as a group of friends and the grounds were a real highlight - including the lake and hot tub! The mezzanine bedroom is fully private. Would recommend!

I was very impressed with Manor Cottage which was clean, comfortable and very peaceful. It is set in the semi formal garden of the Manor House which leads onto open county side with well marked public footpaths/access. Daniel and Angela were very responsive and got back to me on any queries I had straight away. It has all the facilities that are needed in addition to private use of the pool and Shetland ponies, chickens and ducks which you can visit if you wish! I will definitely visit again. I only wish there were more bedrooms so I could share how lovely this place is with more of my family/friends.

Absolutely amazing grounds to get lost in. My children took there paddle boards and spent hours paddling around. Tony, the owner, was lovely and really friendly. Highly recommend for a break away in a peaceful environment.

Truly a great place to stay for a couple of days with a family of 4. It’s clean, fully equiped, there is enough space and the area is very quiet. From here it is very easy to take a day trip to London or Cambridge.
