This was one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. Ryan was incredibly kind and made check-in a breeze. The property was stunning—peaceful and full of charm. Feeding ducks by hand was a first for me, and we loved making fresh-squeezed orange juice every morning. Though we didn’t plan to return to Hawaii soon, this place might bring us back sooner than expected. The room was spacious and comfortable, with clean, high-quality linens. The shared bathroom was well-maintained, and we enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and shower. While some reviews mentioned the lack of locked doors, we didn’t mind—it felt very safe and inviting. We had a packed itinerary but ended up clearing our mornings just to relax and enjoy the space. Thank you, Ryan, for an unforgettable stay—we hope to visit again soon!

We are so glad we chose this place for our first Hawaii vacation. We would go back in a heartbeat. The grounds are beautiful. So nice to have a place that feels peaceful and calm, not a stark condo on a lawn or parking lot. Things we loved: Pool/Hot Tub lots of fun for the kids and close to our unit. Kids loved making other friends there. Unit very clean and well cared for. Fun things like shell scalloped sink and jet tub. Nice wood furniture on porch/in rooms Beautiful grounds - very well-cared for by groundskeepers and provides peaceful, nice ambience with trees, plants, paths, and historic areas. Several quality BBQs located around the resort - everyone loves using them. Laundry (W/D) in unit. We did a lot of laundry! Employees at resort very kind and helpful Lovely porch Trash/recycling easy to access. Appreciated fitness room Improvements Stock photos for listing. One photo was incorrect and makes you a bit nervous about what to expect. Fitness room could be expanded

Absolute Gem!! This has to be one of the most cute cabins we’ve ever rented! The cabin is just perfect for 2, and is very well appointed. Gorgeous inside and the property around it is like a fairy tale filled with beautiful flowers, plants & trees. Let the rain tapping on the roof and the frogs serenade you to sleep. Perfectly located to allow you to explore the island during the day, come back for an early evening nap and get up to see the volcano lava flows at night! Amazing place and excellent host. Do not hesitate in booking this.

The home is beautiful and was perfectly equipped for all of our family needs. There’s enough space for everyone to spread out and have some privacy if needed. We really appreciated the beach equipment that was provided and the location was close to the private beach, shopping and pool. We would love to book again in the future and will recommend to others. 10/10 experience!

Lovely place. Very clean and island modern style. Facing the ocean with beautiful views. The host had put together a great list of things to do and restaurants nearby. Very courteous and friendly host. The property is located at the end of a small unpaved road and you wonder if it’s the right way. But once you get inside their gate, it’s just different and beautiful.

Such a fun set up! I liked the private room but enjoyed the community aspect of the hostel. It was decorated so cute, and the pancakes in the morning were an awesome treat! Plus I loved how I could walk to so many restaurants!

Sehr schönes kleines Hotel mit Self-Checkin. Sehr gut gefallen hat uns, dass man sich das Frühstück selber machen konnte und Dinge wie Bagels, Kaffee, Saft, Müsli usw. vorhanden waren. Würden hier wieder übernachten.

We spend a lot of time in Hawaii and always stay at a resort. This time we opted to try a new vacation spot and we are glad we did! This was a beautiful place. The grounds are breathtaking and the hospitality was wonderful!! We highly recommend that you try your stay here.

The stay is 8min away from National Volcano Park. If you are planning 2 day’s visit to Volcano park, you can consider this. There is list of restaurants , if want to order food at home. We went to Volcano house for dinner as it was just 8 min away. I would recommend this stay. John also suggested some nearby places to eat food. This is a remote place as it is near the entrance of National volcano park but it is peaceful.

We had a lovely stay at this B&B. The fresh breakfast was delicious, and the room was very comfortable. It's also within walking distance to a few of the charming Hilo museums! We enjoyed everything about the stay.

We stayed at Volcano Village Estates on 3/23/2025, our stay was spectacular. We were maybe 6 minutes away from the National Park, and then 25 minutes for a major grocery store. This spot is perfect for us you want to go to the NP at night to watch the lava (if there is any). John was extremely welcoming and attentive to all of our questions and issues. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this for while staying here in volcano.

The location was great; close enough to downtown that we could walk or take a 3-4 minute Uber ride. The kitchen, bedrooms, and patio were perfect. Two really nice pool areas overlooking the ocean, one with kids, one without. Parking was great and made it easy to get around.

This is a fantastic location in Pahoa and very quiet and peaceful. I absolutely recommend the Fern Room. Great communication with the owner and walkable to many spots around town. Mahalo!!! 🌺
