Fantastic few days at Daisy and James' place, thank you so much for sharing your home. Beautiful and stylish decor with everything you need and loads of cool touches. The kids loved the toys, especially the marble run! The trampoline outside was a huge hit too. Grosmont is a lovely village - we joined the local childrens' Easter egg hunt at the church, explored the impressive castle ruin in the rain(!) and had a lovely pub lunch at the Angel Inn. We would highly recommend and happily stay again, thanks again Daisy and James!

We absolutely loved our stay at Abbey Dore. The house was spacious, brilliant kitchen and dining room area with two lovely living rooms. It had everything we needed, and we absolutely loved the swimming pool and gym. Bedrooms were lovely and beds were comfy. Emma and Daniel were so responsive to any questions we had. Beautiful surroundings, Gwatkin Red Cow was a brilliant recommendation- the roast was fab! We loved our stay and would absolutely consider coming back again.

Spacious and comfortable house for our family of 6 during a rainy February half term. The main reason to rent this place was the pool and sauna which didn’t disappoint and was great for our kids. There is a builder’s merchant right next door to the house which isn’t obvious from the photos but was not a particular problem with respect to noise etc. Lots of great walks nearby - which we will have to rediscover in the future in better weather! Thanks to Phoebe and the owners for making us feel welcome and for being available and responsive to our questions.

We had a great 5 day break with 3 generations of our family at Riversdale Lodge. The last few hundred metres of road were very narrow but the location is something special and much easier the second time! The stride around kitchen, dining and living areas were great for a large group. The view was fantastic and we enjoyed watching the canoeists and the birds. Super walks on the doorstep and wonderful countryside around for drives in the car. A good supply of crockery, utensils, cooking pots, oven trays and dishes are provided. The 5 ensuite shower rooms were appreciated if somewhat bijou! The only other niggle was some minor maintenance jobs which I am sure the host will rectify now they have been separately pointed out.

Picked the Lodge for a Bank Holiday break with friends and it didn’t disappoint. We were warmly welcomed by Mel who gave us some great local recommendations. House was clean and had all the required amenities. Having the pool for the morning was great fun. Would recommend Small breeds centre if you have young children and Hay on Wye for a wander round

Great place and great hosts. Sarah welcomed us and gave us all the information we needed. We enjoyed the walks from the Coach House and seeing the lambs. The kitchen was very well equipped. The bedrooms were very spacious.

The place is great! Pretty much as described. Had a great time staying there over a few days. Pros: - Beatiful surroundings - Great amenities in the house - Great host, baked us some cakes (Thank you!) - Gorgeous house Cons: - Not many honestly, Wifi is a bit dodgy but it worked ok for us and we could hotspot so it was ok! Would definitely go again!

Great hideaway, tastefully presented and well maintained. All facilities good and great centre for walking and exploring the area.

Beautiful property. I was away working so early mornings, late nights but lovely balcony to watch the sun come up with a beautiful view. Will definitely be back when I'm working in the area.

The lodge was very comfortable and a relaxing place to be. I especially appreciated the garden. The countryside walks were stunning.

Had a wonderful weekend celebrating 60th birthday with grown up ‘kids’. Accommodation was perfect - spacious kitchen and dinning area, good games room, lovely lounge and nice modern bedrooms. Location was beautiful and peaceful - need a car to get to pubs shops restaurants etc but that was no issue. Weather was helpful being April - sunny and springlike which allowed us to enjoy the gardens and surrounding area.

Lovely house, spotlessly clean, in a central yet quiet part of town. Very easy check in and out. Will come again.

We had a wonderful stay at The Bungalow! The property features a spacious, open-plan layout with large windows, offering beautiful views of the surrounding area. The garden is a real highlight, wrapping around the entire house, and is secure, which gave us peace of mind with our dogs. However, it’s worth noting that the fence isn’t particularly high, so more determined dogs could potentially jump over it. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom had a lovely, large shower. Our only suggestion would be to assess the kitchen equipment—specifically, the knives, as they weren’t very sharp. Overall, we had a fantastic stay, and the property is perfectly located for exploring the stunning Forest of Dean. Highly recommend!

Lovely stay near Hay-on-Wye. Ideally located to walk into Hay. Clean, cosy and welcomimg property. Park in the back garden was ideal to entertain the children. Would certainly stay here again!

We had a lovely stay here. The location was great for exploring the surrounding area, and the cottage itself was spotless with a warm, homely feel that made it very comfortable to relax in. The copper bath was a real highlight—such a treat after a day out. All in all, a great base for a countryside break, and I’d happily recommend it.

We spent a lovely night at this property, the accommodation was very clean and comfortable and the surrounding area is beautiful and tranquil. I would recommend highly.

We had a brilliant few nights at Lavender Cottage. My husband and I were joined by some friends for his 40th birthday get together and the place was just perfect. The cottage was beautiful, modern inside and done to a high spec with everything we needed, and much more. The outside areas were clean and tidy and the hot tub was perfect. If anyone’s looking for something fun to do, we did The Viking Games in Hereford (c.30 mins drive from the cottage) and we enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast at The Crown in Woolhope, which was one of the recommended places by Katherine. Overall 10/10 weekend. Couldn’t fault a thing!

Great place, very clean and well stocked. Victoria was a fabulous host and was always on hand to answer any questions and offer local advice. Great location in town, close to local amenities and walks. The outdoor areas and garden are lovely too. Highly recommend this house.
