The Griffin is a functioning riverboat, driven by paddle wheels, originally modeled after historic Mississippi steamboats. It is located at a mom and pop boat yard, which is quite different from a fancy marina. Work happens here. Metal is welded here. Engines are torn apart and put back together here. Located 5 miles from Hibbing, the south side of Chisholm is smack in the middle of the Mesabi Trail and only a short trek from Redhead and other biking, hiking, and atv trails. This location is perfect whether you are overnighting for sport tournaments with your family, wanting to do some fishing, or need a short stop before heading into the boundary waters.

This lovely cottage has woods, hiking trails, and perenial gardens right outside the door. There are ski trails a mile away and the Redhead Mountain Bike park 8 miles away. The 2 Bdrm, 2 Bath home is fully furnished and has been completely renovated. The kitchen has everything needed to dine at home. The deck provides a peaceful view of the woods; and the 3 season porch and loft den offer lovely places to relax and read. In the winter the wood stove provides a toasty ambiance.

Be on the lookout for Moose, Deer, Bear, Fox, Grouse, and many of birds and listen for an occasional Timber Wolf in the night. Trailer parking is onsite.

THE GARDEN STUDIO is located on the ground level from the patio through private French doors. It sleeps three with a queen bed and sofa sleeper. It includes a full kitchenette, dining table, seating area, and a private bathroom with a step-in shower made of Italian tile. Not appropriate for small children. WE ARE UNABLE TO HOST MOUNTAIN BIKERS.
