This recently renovated, spacious studio is the perfect base to explore everything Whangarei Heads has to offer. This studio is set in a beautiful quiet environment, with native trees, bush, and serenity. Only a few minute's drive from central Whangarei, this offers you the best of both worlds. Drive into town or other close by attractions then come back to relax away from the busy city life. We have all afternoon sun and amazing sunsets to watch and enjoy with a glass of wine on the deck. We are two minutes walk away from one of the beautiful Parahaki walks which takes you to the lookout at the top.

Garden Hill Cottage, Maungatapere

Away from the hustle bustle, enjoy this quiet serene spot. The property is well off the highway and the neighbouring orchards screen us from traffic noise. The cottage is nestled between small avocado and mixed fruit orchards, with a view out to the small pond and post’n’rail fenced paddocks beyond. Last minute bookings are usually no problem - we respond quickly. Relax with the family (with up to 3 children) in this organic permaculture lifestyle block with animals that love being fed.

The Annex - self contained unit .

The Annex is on a small farmlet, 6 km south of Whangarei, with harbour views. It was a sleepout, built in the 1980's, separate, but next to the main house. It has two bedrooms. There is a double bed and two singles plus a day bed in the living area. The living/ dining area, has a wood fire. There is a small shower room and separate toilet. It is situated about 100 mtr off SH1, so there can be road noise. There are no streetlights and it can be very dark if you arrive after sundown.

Waipu township just 10 mins away. Waipu Cove and Uretiti beaches 15-20 mins. Waipu Caves and Piroa Fall are definitely worth a visit too.
