The house was huge and the surrounding were great, we managed to see the sunset right from the house. The house was equipped with the necessities we needed. We could hear the sound from the wooden floor when someone is walking on the upper floor or the stairs. Not a big problem to us but if you are sensitive to sounds, something to consider before booking. The water pressure was low, it was a bit inconvenient using the shower head. Robert was friendly and helpful, we are satisfied with the booking in general.

The inside of this property has been beautifully modernized and was warm and comfortable for our family of 5. it is set back from the main road and is surprisingly quiet. We highly recommend such great hosts, too.

Forest Lodge is the perfect get away for large groups. Huge kitchen, well equipped with anything you would need to feed an army. And great, cosy lounge. We were worried the bedrooms would be cold, but by following the instructions all went well and we were all toastie… no snow for us this time, but we look forward to coming back again next year! This was a lovely place to stay, I wish we had more time here on our trip. Super clean, nice amenities, friendly staff, beach access with cool stones to look at while the waves roll them over and over. We somehow lucked out and were placed in a private corner of the resort. Kids would have a blast here with all of the extra activities available.Sunset was stunning to experience. I would use their other locations in NZ too if I travel this way again based off of this experience.

Loved the property - the lights and signs directing you around the property were great. We loved the glow worms!

Well the pictures instantly appealed- but it’s much larger in real life. The accessibility for me of being able to check in at 9pm was very helpful and as I had a lot of gear with me having the door at the front was very useful for loading and unloading. The details in the memrobilia were very interesting and yet a classic collection that was visually appealing A very classy apartment. Also much warmer and quieter that I had expected.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The space was immaculately clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful. Perfect location with epic views across to Mt Hutt. Would definitely book again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Wow... That was our main word for this stay. The location and view was incredible. It instantly felt like a real relaxing getaway. We noticed some issues around cleanliness that I will share directly with the host so that they are aware, as this place deserves the best! The hot tub was an absolute highlight. Such a friendly and responsive host to chat to online. We had a fabulous time here and we definitely hope to return to this oasis on the hill!

Desiree's place was fantastic. Such a fun place to stay, hated leaving in the morning. Would return again and again. Desiree was an absolute gem. Could've have asked for a more helpful, friendly host.
