We had a wonderful few day's stay in John's beautiful cottage. John is very engaging and even phoned while we were on our way to Holy Island to make sure we had received the key code and to see if we had any questions. On arrival everything was in order and Johns instructions on how to find his cottage were perfect. The cottage is incredibly well situated in the village with stunning views of the castle from the kitchen, garden and both bedrooms. We could have just spent our whole time on Hoy Island sat on the patio in the sunshine taking in the incredible view! The cottage is very up to date and the kitchen is well-equipped if you are more inclined to self cater. Everything in the village is only a few minutes walk away. There is a pub virtually next door and another pub two minutes away, also several cafes. There is also a gin shop right next door! There is room to park one car right outside and an EV charging point if you need one. All in all this is a fantastic property.

Jonathan was a great host - even coming to meet us from the bus stop when there was a road closure & arranging a late check out at no extra cost. The flat is brilliantly positioned for food shopping & public transport & is quiet, spotlessly clean & well equipped. The communal staircase definitely needs redecorating but that didn’t bother us once we were inside the flat, as it was so cosy & homely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Jonathan.

The cottage is lovely with beautiful surroundings. The living room in particular is stunning. We are a family of 5 and had plenty of space. Our eldest (11) loved the loft bedroom. Instructions from Liz were excellent and using what3words we found the cottage with no issues. The area is gorgeous and we saw lots of wildlife on the way which was great. The cottage is about an hour away from the centre of Edinburgh, so it’s ideal if you’re wanting to visit Edinburgh but stay away from the noise of a city. This was a beautiful place to stay, very peaceful, clean and tidy. The view from the hot tub was lovely. We felt very lucky to find this place for a single night stay as it seems you usually have to book multiple nights. We often grab the chance at a night away whenever we can as parents of a young family so we will be keeping our eyes peeled to see if any further 1 night availability appears in future as we would definitely return. I was very pleased with my stay in Edinburgh! Valentina’s place was lovely and in a convenient location for exploring the city along with all it has to offer. I had a great experience.

We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in Bo’ness. Het huis was comfortabel, schoon en volledig uitgerust. Het voelde meteen als thuis. De locatie is top: rustig, maar met supermarkten en een pub met lekkere, huisgemaakte gerechten op loopafstand. Met onze 2 tienerzonen genoten we van de mooie omgeving: wandelingen, fietstochten en uitstapjes naar Stirling, Edinburgh en zelfs de Highlands. De hosts waren ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Op de dag van vertrek verraste de eigenaar ons zelfs met verse broodjes, aardbeien en water voor onderweg – zo attent! Een geweldige plek om te verblijven en een perfect vertrekpunt om Schotland te ontdekken. Aanrader! Gijs & Marian

We had a fantastic stay at The Sea House! The house was spacious, really nicely decorated and furnished and was spotless. The location was ideal, close to all the local amenities. Really nice touches on arrival such as biscuits and fudge stood out. Our party were two couples with two four-year-olds and both the house and location were perfect. Host was very helpful and great at communicating. Highly recommended host and house - we will be returning!

The place was great and surrounded with good restaurants and coffee shops. was the perfect place to stay as we went to the zoo and the buses were just round the corner. Definitely recommended for anyone staying in Edinburgh.
