I booked this beautiful home after my first reservation and host cancelled on me due to the storms. Well, I can say… we are so happy with our stay. It was exactly as described and even better than expected. April really is a one of a kind host, so good that I had to take notes for my own Air bnb adventure. She thought of everything! I’ve never had a better stocked kitchen. We always cook and make a big meal and we sure did not want for anything. We were even greeted with a local baked good and extra sheets and blankets for the dogs. These hosts were the best I’ve had in Michigan, if not the whole country. I’m thankful for people who truly consider someone’s stay and thinks of it all. Thank you again to the hosts. The Cabin was spotless and one of my favorite features was the deer lights.

Sarah's place was a dream. My husband and I stayed for my birthday weekend in April 2025 with our toddler and infant. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. We loved the huge kitchen with space to cook our own Easter meal, decorate eggs, and spread out all of our children's Easter goodies on the large dining table. The kitchen and living area are the best parts of the home -- spacious, clean, and free of clutter. We loved waking up each morning to the lake view along with the accessibility of the grill and hot tub just steps from the kitchen/dining/living area. Sarah was a proactive and welcoming host, and did everything she could to try to make it right when we found the coffeemaker missing (a previous guest had broken it, and it was being replaced). This is a remote location perfect for getting away from the city, but Tawas is a quick 30-40 minute drive away with a cute downtown, pier, and state park. We definitely felt rejuvenated after our stay -- thank you!!!

I wish I could put into words how amazing this stay was! There were so many activities to do here, it was insane! I wish we had more time to enjoy them. It was very peaceful, kayaking down the river was a beautiful experience (definitely recommend water shoes, rocky bottom). They are also very accommodating for pets or for babies, have extra things just in case you forget something. 100000/10 would recommend to anyone!

We had a lovely stay! The cottage was so cute and I just loved how they decorated it! We absolutely loved the hot tub and used it every day! We decided to walk down to the beach through all the snow, would love to stay in the summer when we can actually go swimming!! Ate at Peegeos twice during our stay, so close and so good, get the cheesecake! So delicious and made from scratch! We will definitely be back!

We LOVED this cottage! It was the perfect place for a cozy weekend retreat with friends. Jaymie was a flawless host and the house was perfect. Even when we lost power with a winter storm, Jaymie offered to buy us breakfast at the local breakfast spot and was so accommodating. So comfortable, so cozy, SO CLEAN! Would love to visit again!!!!

The host was very friendly and quick responding. Location is beautiful. Cool little cabin on the lake. Very well stocked with utensils, glassware, and games.

Kathleen was a very responsive and communicated well. Her place was exactly as described in the description. It was a very nice cabin, perfect for a couple families to enjoy themselves without being right on top of each other. The hot tub was especially nice after a long day on the ski hill! Would definitely stay here again in the future! Thanks for such a nice cabin and great experience!

We went up for the fall colors and had a very enjoyable stay. The view of the lake is beautiful during the day. Without light from nearby towns we could see shooting stars at night. The cottage was exactly as described. Cute, well stocked and very clean. Being older it does have some minor quirks, but nothing that took away from our visit. These were also communicated in the description. The home is very dog friendly. The fenced in yard is great. The fact that it's in the front of the yard means it doesn't interfere the lake view or access. The inside also has retractable gates if you wish to restrict your dog access to rooms as well. Kaitlin quickly responded to all of my questions. She also has a very thoughtful and detailed binder for local attractions in the area. There is only a Dollar Store and small food market in town, so you will need to the next town if you need more than convenience items. The pizza at Smokey's Restaurant & Tavern was really good!

We felt blessed to be able to find Terrie's home while we waited out a power outage during the great ice storm of 2025. The location was in a safe quiet neighborhood that was close to great restaurants and shopping. The house was clean and nicely decorated with everything we needed to feel at home. We would stay here again if in the area.

This was our first repeat Airbnb experience, we enjoyed Laurie’s place that much! It’s peaceful and the lake is lovely, no matter the time of year. Close to Short’s brewing and Schuss mountain, not far from Boyne, it’s quiet but still well located to have a great up north adventure. It’s also well stocked with toys and books, which is a great plus for our family! And Laurie is super responsive and kind. We might stay a third time!

This place is far more beautiful in person! I highly recommend it! Super clean, SO many activities to do, you really don’t need to bring much because they provide basically everything essential! The host is also amazing! Super nice! We will definitely be coming back!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Eric’s place! It was a mild weekend for Michigan winter, and we enjoyed cross country skiing at the nearby XC Headquarters and a delicious dinner at the Cut River Grille. The living room was comfy for a game night with our travel companions. Eric was easy to contact and the place was a perfect cozy cottage for our weekend! The little touches for hospitality, like having the driveway plowed/salted, coffee filters, extra new toothbrushes, and extra blankets were greatly appreciated. Looking forward to our next trip up north!

Great spot, exactly what we needed! It’s small and cozy, in a quiet area 10-15 minutes drive from anything you need. Smooth check in, clean spot, had whatever amenities you could think of. One thing: If you are taller than me (6’4) you may have some trouble with the bathroom. I made it work but were I an inch taller I wouldn’t have been able to fit for certain activities 😂

Probably the best Airbnb experience we have ever had. John and his wife were kind and quick to respond to our questions. While they live on the property, we did not see them at all during our stay. The water front makes it extremely enjoyable and the lake is quiet. They checked in with us and always made sure we had everything we needed. We will absolutely be back to this rental, hopefully for longer next time!

My family, friends, and I enjoyed staying at Tim’s property once again. Tim is easy to reach if needed for anything, and was a great host. The property is well located and beautiful! Walking distance to dine out, or just a few minutes drive to get groceries, while still feeling tucked away. We hope to stay again next summer.

Great little cottage. Loved the location and the proximity to town. Everything we needed. Will definitely return hopefully when it isn’t cold and rainy so I can enjoy the beautiful screened porch and nice yard/firepit.

I stayed here for a wedding and wanted some private and quiet time around the events. It was fabulous. Sitting on porch talking to a friend or reading, the bed in the loft helped give me two of my best nights sleep in a long time. Would love to return for a longer time and just chill Went to the Villager in Lewiston for breakfast. Great service and food. Closes at 2 and cash only.

Great place to unwind and relax! Ellsworth Lake is such a beautiful spot and holds many memories for our family.

What a great rental and what great hosts! My wife and I spent four nights at Laurie and Ralph's cabin outside Charlevoix and we didn't want to leave. Very highly recommend. Can't wait to come back again! The house itself is peaceful and comfortable and has everything a couple might need. Outside we sat down by the lake and saw the auroras and took advantage of their kayaks to go for a paddle. Laurie was very helpful and communicative, even sending us a photo of the driveway which is a bit hidden. Ralph even came over with an extra flashlight when the power briefly went out all over town. Charlevoix and the rest of the area was fantastic. Cute town with some great places to eat and just walk through the shops. From Boyne Falls to Petoskey, everything we wanted to do was within a quick and very scenic drive.
