The property and house were absolutely gorgeous. Even with the rain we had a fabulous time and still used the hot tub. Was the perfect size for the 3 of us. Kitchen had everything we needed and the coffee bar was well stocked! Perfect location for OU’s mom’s weekend with my girls.

Billy’s place was peaceful, serene, and a wonderful getaway. Everything was updated and spotless. So happy we chose to stay here.

The house was beautiful! Definitely need 4x4 to get back there though! Even with AWD we slid down the last hill before the house because of the snow/ice mixture. We did finally make it and had a wonderful weekend with friends! Beautiful view of the sunrise over the lake and to look out all day at the snow! Would love to make time to come back in the summer months!

We had a wonderful stay and have nothing but good things to say. The drive to Hocking Hills State Park was an easy 20 minutes. There is a Walmart not too far away for forgotten items. The house itself was great. The kids loved sharing a bunk room with cousins and the hot tub. It had everythinf we needed. Jacob was very responsive and helpful. Hocking Hills is a beautiful area and if we make it back, we would totally stay here again.

Spacious, peaceful setting for a family gathering. Clean and comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen. Close to Old Man’s Cave and the wonderful beauty of the State Park. We would enjoy returning to this property again.

Stayed here two years in a row for OU mom’s weekend! Perfect space for kids to hang in basement, while moms can sleep in bedrooms. Outdoor space looks so inviting, but it’s been too cold for us to enjoy it. If you’re looking for a place to host your daughter & her friends- this is it!! It’s not on campus, but that’s also what our girls wanted- to get away! Just a short drive to campus (15 min) though if needed!

Brookside cottage was a magical experience in terms of its location. The creek the water running the woods. It’s just spectacular. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was clean. You had everything that you needed. Location was quite peaceful. It was everything that we wanted. I spent a mom’s weekend there with my daughter from Ohio University, and we also enjoyed the hot tub despite the rain.

Great location! SUPER clean house, and the decks are amazing with the fireplaces to hang out on. Thanks for the space!

Overall very nice place to stay for a fun gathering! It was a rainy weekend and still had tons of activities to do inside, the indoor pool was amazing and lots of fun. Air-conditioning worked really well for a large house. Kitchen worked well but some limited pan/pot options for cooking for a large number of people and needed to be cleaned up prior to using. The movie theatre basement is nice and fun for a movie night or games. Beds were comfortable enough for an Airbnb. Just a couple downsides/wear and tear that ideally could need fixed up: The air hockey table is held together with duct tape and doesn’t keep score anymore. No poker chips included with the table so we had to bring those along. All still usable just being a little picky for the price. Very responsive and nice host, overall enjoyed our stay for a bachelorette party and would stay again!

We picked this cabin because we were looking for a rental that offered a sauna. Everything on the property was clean and in operating order (including the sauna :-) ) The arrival instructions were very helpful. The cell phone service was sketchy, and the tip to screenshot the door code was very helpful. Brian also shared some common feedback about finding the drive to the cabins, and that was helpful. We did message about one thing - it had stormed in the area prior to our arrival, and we did ask if there were any issues as a result of the storms. I did not get a response until after we checked out. There were no issues. Airbnb strongly recommends you communicate with hosts only through the app, and that is how we messaged. Brian did include other contact information, and maybe that would have yielded a quicker response. We were following the Arrbnb guidelines. The pre-arrival communication and tips were very helpful, so I will give credit for that, and it is well deserved.

We had the pleasure of staying in this incredible Villa last weekend. The Villa was one of the cleanest and nicest we have ever stayed in. The hot tub was very clean and the private fire pit area was perfect for the cool nights. It is also very convenient to all of the hikes that Hocking Hills State Park has to offer. We would highly recommend staying here or any of the other villas the Hugga in the Hills has to offer!

Very cute house! My family enjoyed our stay and the scenery. The kitchen was nice for cooking meals. Great memories were made.

Our stay at Shu’s place exceeded my expectations. We have a family of 7 with a Goldendoodle. Sometimes it is hard to please the entire group when booking. The house was spotless inside with great appliances. We were able to move flawlessly from inside modern features (pool table, movie room, air hockey, multiple TV’s, gaming systems, board games) directly outside to a feeling of solitude. Beautiful lake views sitting in the hot tub, kids making smores at the camp fire, and some family members fishing from the dock at the same time. We went to visit my daughter at Ohio University and to see Hocking Hills. It was the perfect location between the two. Easy 5 min trips to Walmart for anything forgotten. Bait shop 2 min away from the property. A cool coffee shop out of an airstream 2 min away. It was special to feel so alone in nature but be so close to anything that we needed. To top it all off, schedules changed and Shu was able to provide us with a late checkout. GREAT LAUNDRY as well!

When I searched for a place close to Hocking Hills State Park, this was right in the middle of it all! It was a beautiful place and super clean. The hot tub was a nice addition after the days of hiking! I would 100% stay here again!

Cute little cabin! Enjoyed the hot tub and stargazing at night, and loved the shower, feeling like you were outdoors! Very private wooded location.

Oink was a great, cozy cabin. It was the cleanest cabin I’ve ever stayed in! We stayed for the weekend over OU’s graduation weekend…it’s only 25 minutes away from campus. We didn’t get to use the fire pit due to the rain but it looked peaceful and fun with the lights strung up. It was so quiet and peaceful that we overslept on the last morning and late to getting to campus to move our son out! Will definitely stay here again if we’re ever in the area.

This is one of the nicest cabins we’ve stayed in! It’s so beautiful and cozy. The bed was big and comfortable. There were no harsh white lights, all the lights were warm and yellow. It’s peaceful and quiet. It was such a wonderful experience and we would definitely go back here.

it's a good little cabin. worth noting it is not as tucked away into the property as the pictures make it look and there is another larger cabin right down the road. The cabin itself is Hella cute, the hot tub is super nice, and the coffee maker is a Keurig.

Shagbark was exactly what we were looking for. Private, cozy, and very close to the hiking trails of Hocking Hills. The home was very clean and had everything needed for a perfect weekend getaway. From the decor to the provided essentials ( laundry soap, bathroom supplies, coffee & creamer, umbrella - just to name a few) this place has been very well put together. The hot tub was relaxing after a day of hiking in the cool rain. Access to the cabin was easy and the gravel drive made it nice, considering all of the rain. Communication was great with the host. There was no satellite phone service from the cabin, but the Wifi worked great. I would suggest mapping your directions just before you leave the cabin since there are spotty areas of service. We would most definitely stay here again.
