Ideal for overnight stop when traveling the N3 or N5, or for a comfortable longer stay when visiting our area for business or leisure. Eastern Freestate charm is found in abundance around here!

During your stay you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity that Clarens has to offer and which is surrounded by the beautiful Maluti Mountains. Due to load shedding we have installed an inverter for your convenience as well as a tank to supply the house with water when the towns water pumps can’t pump due to load shedding

Wake to stunning mountain views from bed at Gentle Presence Cottages! This Cottage offers self-catering for 6 and has been lovingly decorated using a mixture of antiques and modern furnishings to make guests feel right at home. Built in the 1900’s as stables, this Cottage is one of the oldest buildings in Clarens and it's thought that farmers would arrive by ox-wagon before sharing Nagmaal (Holy Communion). There are 2 Cottages on the premises, set apart and with own entrances for privacy.

Milk Cottage is located on a privately owned off-grid smallholding. You’ll love the tranquility, large open spaces and fresh air. The beds are made up with fresh white linen, fluffy white towels are provided. The cottage is good for couples, friends or families as it has two en-suite bedrooms with a queen size bed in each.
