Rebecca was the most attentive host! Her and her husband were very responsive and met us during check in to help us settle in. The space was absolutely lovely and the surrounding area was so charming. Driving distance from Olympic National Park, and straight shot to the airport. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to be in a cozy, warm space surrounded by trees and the lake.

We loved our weekend stay here. Our teens loved hanging out up in the loft and it was the perfect space for them. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was great for six people. The beach area was lots of fun to explore as well.

Perfect stay in a stunningly beautiful location. We especially appreciated the comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen, relaxing hot tub, ample outdoor furniture, and thoughtful indoor design. The views are second to none and sitting on the back porch drinking coffee and listening to the birds, playing board games, then exploring the beach teeming with beauty and life and dipping our toes in the sound are memories we’ll treasure forever. House Upon the Sound was exactly what I needed. Beautiful, peaceful, and exactly as described. I was looking for a place to reset without traveling too far from the city, and this was perfect. The huge windows brought in so much light and framed the tranquil views perfectly. The hot tub was spotless and incredibly relaxing. The hosts were welcoming and responsive. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet, restorative escape.

Loved staying here with my family. House was SO clean. Would definitely come back. Great amount of space enjoyed seeing the water all day. Even had a highchair for my little one!

This was a great gateway location, quiet, and peaceful. We were visiting family so we're busy with other activities but our stay here was wonderful, wish we had more time to enjoy all the amenities, fire pits etc. The home was very comfortable for family of four, clean, neat, plenty of seats for everyone to have their own little spot in the home. Kitchen area and bathroom super clean and newly renovated. Everything in the home was neatly labeled and has photos and bio descripted.

Such a charming home! We loved it! Traveled with three small kids who loved kayaking, fishing, throwing rocks in the water, running down the big hill to the water, the books in the kids reading nook and exploring the local parks/beaches. It’s very quiet, no road noise. Amazing view of mt. Rainer on a clear day and expansive views from almost all rooms. It’s an old house from the 1930s with a lot of the original old house charm but modern amenities have been updated to make it comfortable. Cathy was very kind and responsive. Thank you!

Stayed at this house with a few friends for the weekend and had such a lovely time. Serene views of the passage from a heated deck and hot tub, and spacious living quarters for everyone to have separate sleeping quarters.
