I stayed at Joan's place for a work trip and it was amazing! Her home is such a hidden gem and a great alternative to staying at a boring hotel. My favorite part of her home was hanging out in the cozy kitchen with views of the garden and a beautiful magnolia tree. Joan's home had many special touches, including a claw foot tub and a fabulous coffee station. The decor felt warm and inviting, and the bed was super comfortable. If you are in the Arcata area for a few days, I highly recommend you stay here. Totally worth it.

Always a magical stay

This was our second time experiencing this beautiful place. We returned back because of how much fun and intimate our experience was. I definitely will be returning back.

We really enjoyed our stay. Christine and Gene were sooooo nice and accommodating. Gene even built a wheelchair ramp for us so my daughter could access the unit. Now that is going above and beyond!! They grow several types of apples in their yard and our fridge was stocked with fresh picked apples. The unit was very comfortable and we would stay there again.

Very unique like staying in an old time cabin. We felt like we stepped in a Time Machine. The cabin was detail oriented to create a charming environment. The wallpaper in the bathroom is very interesting old clippings. Fun addition. The porch and pond are so cute. We were too cold at the end of October to use other amenities like the copper spa or tubs.

We had a very relaxing stay. Bed and linens were comfortable and soaking tubs melted away the travel aches. Had everything we needed for the visit and our host Shannon was very responsive when I had a question. Would come back!

Joan was very flexible and understanding with my late arrival. She provided extremely clear directions and turned the heat/lights on for me prior to me getting there at midnight. Her place is adorable and exactly as listed. She has recommendations for local spots as well. Highly recommend Joan and her place!

Shannon is an exceptional host and our room, The Hideout, was the perfect mix of antique furniture, funky colors, and cabin-in-the-woods vibe. The common areas, tubs, and saunas, too, are immaculate and feel like a spa. Will come again.

Awesome place to stay in Arcata! Close to all the things to do in Redwood National Park. Downtown Arcata itself is super cute, walkable, with lots of restaurants, cafes, bookstores, and boutiques. The airbnb was nicely decorated and clean, as well as stocked with everything you need for a short weekend trip. Loved the outdoor gas fire place as well. Would stay here again!

This was my first time being a guest at an Airbnb. I had no expectations but was pleasantly impressed with Kate from beginning to end. Was sad to leave. The place was comfy and quiet and if I had a question Kate answered it. Thank you Kate!!! I hope all hosts are as welcoming.

Terri's place was just right! We stayed one night and loved the very comfortable bed and quality linens- Terri is a great communicator, and it was all effortless. Her internet is good, so we were able to stream shows (no TV in the room) as we relaxed. We'd definitely return!

Really cute, bright and clean place to stay for a few days! I enjoyed my time in Annie's cottage. There is a lot of light coming into this well decorated studio as it has several windows. It is also in a great location as it is close to the beach and the highway for visiting the redwoods and Eureka and Arcata. I would definitely come back here.

Ella’s place was amazing! Convenient location. Attention to detail! Super comfortable! She was a fantastic host answering any questions I had. This is an amazing property she has made truly beautiful!!! It was so close to everything, Arcata, the beach, trails, McKinleyville, Trinidad. She had a hair dryer in the bathroom which was great and even an instapot in the kitchen aside from a microwave and toaster and refrigerator. Fresh filtered water. Super private with no one disturbing you. I would love to stay there again!!!

Perfect location. Close enough to walk downtown to restaurants, grocery and shops. Host was incredibly responsive. I ran into an issue with the heat (user error on my end) and the host called to walk me through how to fix it. Bed was comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed and the place felt great to hang out in. Highly recommend.

Nick's place was really nice. He put a lot of care and thought into making his AirBnB. It was really spacious. Kitchen was really nice and well stocked. Nick had great coffee there as well! Beds were super comfortable. Nick was super responsive as well. We really enjoyed our stay!

Quiet part of town, easy to find. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Great little place to stay close to Redwood National Park!

Kate and Chuck were friendly and attentive. The space was private, comfortable, warm (It was unseasonably cold during our stay) and clean. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Words can’t fully capture how beautiful this place is—you truly have to experience it for yourself. The views are breathtaking, the garden is stunning, and the peaceful surroundings make it feel like a true escape. You’ll fall asleep and wake up to the soothing sound of the ocean. Patty is a wonderful and attentive host. Highly recommend!

This was my first ABNB stay and was extremely pleased. The place was quiet, peaceful, and clean. We appreciated all the local brochures in the coffee table and found great places to visit during our stay.

One of the best Airbnb's in Arcata, I've stayed here on more than one trip. The location is perfect, because you can be to breakfast spots, Wildberries, downtown, or the bike trails in a 5-minute walk or in the redwoods or Cal Poly campus in about 10 minutes. The place is cozy and you feel right at home, with a well-stocked kitchen and beautiful hillside views.
