Moongate Cottage - Renovated 18th century cottage

Lovely old small stone cottage recently renovated to a high standard, located in a quiet hamlet within easy reach of the Wye Valley, Hereford and the Marches, Black Mountains and the Forest of Dean. The cottage is surrounded by woodland and nature with walks in every direction from your doorway. The village is accessed from a single track lane and is very rural and peaceful, yet only 4 miles from Monmouth. There are two working farms in the village and farm traffic can just occasionally be busy.

Pineapple Cottage - Chepstow Town Centre (Wales)

17th Century cottage in the heart of Chepstow, close to Offa's Dyke & the Wye Valley. Tucked down a little cobbled street in the town centre, it’s a small but perfectly formed cottage ideal for a couple or a young family. There’s a secret door leading to the second bedroom, where you’ll even get a glimpse of Chepstow Castle from the window. It’s an ideal base for weddings at St Tewdrics (we’ve even hosted the bride and groom!) or for walking and cycling in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley.

Walkers Rest at The Hayloft - The Brecon Beacons

Nestled in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, this recent addition to an (ex) 1800s pub is a cosy yet spacious self catering space. Opposite an old church with views across the valley it offers an an ideal getaway with walks in every direction and outdoor activities (canoeing, climbing, horse riding) further afield. Local events include: The Abergavenny Food Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Haye Literary Festival, The Green Man. The village is two miles away with shops and pubs.

The Bothy, part of our 17th century Welsh farmhouse, offers a perfect base to explore Monmouthshire & the Brecon Beacons. The Garden House is a peaceful stone cottage set in the historic gardens of High Glanau Manor, the home of H. Avray Tipping (1855-1933) the Architectural Editor of Country Life Magazine from 1907. High Glanau Manor is an important Arts & Crafts house set in 12 acres of gardens designed in 1922. The gardens retain many original features including formal terraces, octagonal pool, glasshouse, pergola and 100 ft long double herbaceous borders. There are spectacular views to the Brecon Beacons

Transformed from my everyday potting shed, it’s now a spacious, warm and welcoming hideaway for two which I’m very proud of.

The views of the Black Mountains are exceptionally beautiful from this lovely cottage in a very peaceful farm location overlooking the Llanthony Valley, 10 miles from Abergavenny. There is a log fire and underfloor heating in cold weather. Ideal for a relaxing escape. Wonderful walks from the doorstep in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Uncrowded hills and 2 pubs nearby. The historic Llanthony Priory has an atmospheric bar in the cellar with excellent evening food.

We are in a great spot for the Forest of Dean, the Brecon Beacons, Bike Park Wales, Cannop Cycle Centre and the Offa’s Dyke Path. There are lovely walks right from the door and so much to do nearby!
