The Gateway-Getaway is only about three miles from Mount Desert Island (MDI) where you will find Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor. The apartment is perfect for 1-2 people. We are on the Blackwoods/Bar Harbor bus route so you can catch the free Island Explorer LL Bean buses to Bar Harbor and back.

Explore Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park from Drift Away Studios. This newly built, private space attached to our primary residence is a cozy and convenient home base in Northeast Harbor. Walk to the marina, shops, and restaurants, bike to Acadia’s Brown Mountain Gatehouse, or drive 15 minutes to Bar Harbor and 20 minutes to Southwest Harbor. A public pool is just across the street (July–August). Settle in, slow down, and enjoy the island life - Maine style.

The Farm By The Sea is a place to unwind and take in some nature. Private Beach. Kayakers dream. The Farm sits on 5 acres on the ocean in Trenton. A short drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. You may enjoy dipping your toes at the oceans edge or you may like to just watch the garden grow. The apartment is self sufficient with private bathroom and entrance. We would want you to know that we may be up early mornings along with the chickens so early risers would do best here.
