Chill out on the verandah, with views across our farm to Lough Ree, while watching our pet goats play and our free range chickens roam. If you are visiting the Glasson/Athlone area for an event, conference, golf, fishing, boating or sightseeing, our Cabin will provide you with a comfortable, cosy and homely place for a couple or a family of four to stay. We are only 40 minutes drive from Dublin airport and en route to Belfast (90mins)! Our cabin is 2km outside of the pretty village of Slane on the river Boyne. Enjoy local landmarks such as Slane Castle, Hill of Slane. Closeby is Newgrange, Hill of Tara, Knowth, Brú na Bóinne, Lough Crew, Trim Castle and the rich heritage of Ireland's Ancient East. Emerald Park is only 20km away. The cabin provides a homely feel perfect for families and friends looking to explore the east coast of Ireland.

All our cabins combine modern finishes and rustic county charms. The Swallow's Return Log Cabin was created to help all reconnect with nature. Situated beside a stream that flows from the Cooley mountains. Surrounded by mature ash trees. Fully equipped kitchen with an open plan seating area. Combi gas boiler for heating and hot water. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and a sink with a censor light mirror. Two bedrooms, main bedroom has double bed, second bedroom has a bunk bed which sleeps three. All weather decking seating area outside.

The Cabin

Our beautiful cabin is set in the heart of the Wicklow mountains 10km from the Sally Gap. The area is a haven for nature enthusiasts, cycling, walking and other outdoor activities. Kippure estate (adventure center) is 2 miles away. It is an open space with king size bed, we are happy to provide floor mattress or camp bed for additional guests or children. The kitchen has kettle, toaster, fridge, twin hop and microwave for your use. Bathroom includes walk in electric shower.
