Wheal Rose cottage - 20 mins to Cornish beaches

WHEAL ROSE is a traditional semi-detached barn conversion that sleeps 4. Used regularly by our family so has games, books etc. Large upstairs open-plan room with beamed ceiling, 2 sofabeds, TV, desk, dining table and kitchen inc dishwasher. Overlooking Porthtowan’s ‘Blue Flag’ award winning sandy beach & surfing destination, the beautiful SW coast path & many amenities are right on the doorstep, so no need to drive anywhere. It is the perfect base for a short break or holiday.

Unique and perfectly situated coastal retreat

Unwind and relax in this historic gem of a home. There has been a mill on this site since 1298 and in 2019 we completely refurbished the current 18th century milll to a very high standard to ensure a truly comfortable and magical getaway. You'll be surrounded by trees, bird song and the constant sound of running water and the sight of our resident heron by the waterfall. The mill lies in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Daphne du Maurier country, on the Fowey estuary.
