Salt Pond Farmhouse

Salt Pond Farmhouse is a charmingly preserved 1813 three-bedroom cape, on the Blue Hill Peninsula, about half way between Blue Hill and Deer Isle, and an hour or so from beautiful Acadia National Park. The house overlooks scenic Salt Pond, and there is a path to the pond side, where small boats may be launched from the grassy shore when the tide is in. The Blue Hill Peninsula offers many activities, including sightseeing, art galleries, water sports, hiking, biking, birding, dining, and more.

Owl Point sits on 10 acres of waterfront with sweeping lawns, lush meadows, oak and pine forest, and the rocky beaches emblematic of the Maine coast. Quick note: While Acadia is accessible via the ferry, we do not recommend Swan’s Island as a “home base” for doing multiple days at the park as the last ferry runs at ~5pm. But it is a beautiful place to start or end!
