The Old Rectory is in a beautiful location, surrounded by lush fields and nature. It’s a perfect place to stay for rambling holidays or just to relax. This original Victorian building was great to explore its grand interior. Caroline was a lovely host and was very welcoming throughout our stay. There was also a lovely dog called Sam that greeted us on arrival! Every morning a cooked breakfast was served at your requested time with fresh tea and coffee. The spread of granola and other cereals was a great addition. Just to note (from staying in the green room) the bathroom and toilet facilities are not attached to the room- instead you leave your room and walk down a hall to them but you are in your own private wing of the house.

Jacqueline was a superb host, really friendly and helpful. We arrived quite early and she was very accommodating and allowed us to check in early. The room was exactly like the pictures and very well situated to fistral beach.

From the moment we booked Jacqueline gave us a phone call to check in with us and introduce herself ahead of our travel and check in. We experienced heavy traffic on the way down and Jacqueline was so helpful whilst we kept her updated and even stayed up late until we arrived. On top of this she still went out of her way to get us some lovely banana cake and a beer. The rest of the weekend we got left to it but always knew where to go if we needed anything. Coming and going from the property was very easy. Lovely walking distance from beaches and town. Parking can be a little difficult but there are lots of surrounding streets to park on all within walking distance to the property. On check out morning it was super easy too and once again Jacqueline was so lovely. Lovely place to stay and when we return to Newquay we would definitely stay again. Thank you ❤️

We had a great stay with Jackie at Smarties, short walk to fistral and Newquay town! Excellent breakfast in the morning. Jackie made us feel so welcome and is great fun! Would recommend and stay again!

Well well well what can i say? A true hidden gem with a fantastic host. We were so lucky to stay in the room ‘Little Fistral’ triffic little spot. Thanks to Jackie & co (woof woof) for the banana bread and beers on arrival. What a crazy night that followed. Would highly recommend Little Fistral to any young budding surfer boys looking for a spacious retreat. Yours truly Ogres & High Elf Surfs up

Wonderful private and quiet place with gorgeous surroundings, very spacious room with spacious bathroom - sparkling clean! Lovely tea selection and super yummy fudge provided in the room as well. Great breakfast options and breakfast itself was delicious and filling to the max in wonderful old style kitchen setting and pottery. One tiny downside was that you could hear everything from the room next door. However, we wouldn’t hesitate to come back and are sorry to stay only for 1 night! Thank you Jane for great care and hospitality even during this difficult times ☺️

Very nice place conveniently located to the beach. Room was as expected and was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again. Advice for future renters: it is located inside St Michael's Resort in Falmouth. Not sure if Clare is a manager at the resort or not but we didn't get a lot of communication leading up to our arrival. When I went to the front desk, they were expecting us and everything was smooth thereafter. There is not a lot of parking at the Resort so you may have to park on the street.

A lovely location to have a girlie night away for our friends 40th. Perfect to have a pool and jacuzzi, bar and lunch/dining options and yet all be able to share an apartment together. Perfect for our night away. VERY comfortable beds, linen and towels.

Such lovely people who work there really enjoyed the stay the area around it was lush and the hotel itself was so beautiful definitely recommend staying there especially with there lovely pool and hot tub !!

Rooms were spotless and equipped with everything you would need or want! The view was amazing and the whole place was lovely. The restaurant had amazing food and the hot tub was perfect!! The staff were friendly and helpful, it was the perfect getaway!

Had an incredible welcoming atmosphere farm shop was lovely staff were amazing! Rooms were cozy and clean and there was plenty of things to do on site and had recommendations for things to do in the surrounding areas

Would definitely stay here again! Bed was unbelievably comfortable and had a great night sleep. View of the sea in the morning. Room was massive and spacious, very quiet and peaceful. Car was safely parked our whole stay. Couldn’t recommend enough. Great price for two nights stay.

Great private room and bathroom in a self contained area of a historic house. Very good quality bedding, towels ect. Highly recommended.

Peaceful, clean and luxurious. The perfect balance of modern luxury and traditional building, warm friendly staff and great atmosphere. Tastefully renovated bathroom and nicely furnished.
