Off Grid Converted Sugar Shack

This little rustic OFF GRID converted sugar shack is perfect for a quiet getaway. There are 2 solar panels that feed the lighting and water pump; limited, non-drinking water for the 2 sinks (summer only); and compostable toilet. There is no shower, no oven and no fridge. A cooler, an urn of drinking water and firewood are provided. The shack is on our 35 acre property, with our home 500ft down the lane. You will have access to our property to walk through the maple forest and wildflower meadow.

The cabin has a fantastic outdoor covered deck with bbq, sit up bar and outdoor firepit with fantastic views of the night sky. Located between Toronto & Ottawa we are the perfect location for nature lovers and yet close to local restaurants, wineries & breweries. Unplug, relax & recharge. Country Cabin

This 200 year old log homestead is on the same property as the owners home. Max of four guests, children under 16 (max 2) stay free, no pets, and delight in the comforts of 1 queen & 1 double bed, hot water, shower, internet. Kitchen has microwave, 2 burner stove top, air fryer. Surrounded by 600 acres of bush and fields with 100s of lakes easily within reach. Enjoy a wonderful bonfire at night. [loft staircase may not be suitable for young children & physically compromised people.]

This newly renovated cabin sits on a shared 3-acre property with our family’s lake house. This home-away-from-home has been in our family for 17 years + we’re thrilled to share a piece of our paradise with you.

40 minutes west of Kanata, ON in Lanark Highlands, 20 kms west of Almonte. The Gate House is a renovated 150 year old log building with 2 single beds, in floor heating, bathroom with shower & kitchenette with hot plate, toaster oven, coffee maker, small fridge & microwave, dining & sitting area. Take a break and unwind at this peaceful cabin. Located on the quiet part of Sand Lake (Rideau system) Property has two bedrooms in the main cabin and a Bunkie for summer use for an additional cost. Beautiful views, with great fishing, swimming and hiking. Jump in a kayak and explore the lake. No wifi. Talk to each other! Play games! Reconnect! Leashed pets only! Outhouse for use on property all year. No running water in the winter months. Plan accordingly.
