Vakantiewoningen nabij een meer in Scottish Borders

A fantastic family stay at this wonderful barn conversion. We couldn’t have asked for more. The location is great,just a few miles outside the main town of Galashields (which has everything in it….and some great delivery services) The property was spacious and catered for our needs and our wheelchair user. The hot tub is the icing on the cake,peaceful and tranquil at any time of the day. We would love to return in the future.

Cynthia’s place is well located with great amenities. Self check in was smooth and she was highly responsive and proactive before and during our stay. Great stay - thank you!

Ponadto, Marcin okazał się bardzo miły, pytał, czy niczego nam nie brakuje, i odpowiadał na wszystkie pytania. Jeszcze raz dziękuję za wspaniały pobyt! :) ENG: I rented this apartment for my parents for a week, and we were very happy with our choice. The apartment was clean and looked exactly like in the pictures. Additionally, Marcin was very good host, asked if we needed anything, and answered all our questions. Once again, thank you for a wonderful stay! :)

Our stay was just the best. The location was beautiful, peaceful and quiet with its own loch and kayaks which the children loved. It was also close by to local amenities and many places to visit nearby. The house was so spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked and Theresa had very kindly left us some groceries, a very welcome addition. Pets were also welcomed and it was a great place for dogs to run around in. We would not hesitate to recommend Theresa’s house as it had everything and more that we were looking for.

A beautiful property, generally well equipped but could do with some champagne glasses

We have been coming to this site for many years and seen many changes, some good, some not so. As regular visitors we have stayed in other caravans on the site but this one was much better than others. The quality of the sofa bed in the lounge is amazing, so comfortable and perfect for the space, also incredibly easy to convert from sofa to bed. The mattresses on the beds in the rooms were of a higher quality and much thicker than others we have experienced in caravans here. Having Wifi was great as we were visiting during colder months so lovely to cosy up to watch movies. Even though it was -3 at one point during our stay we were always lovely and warm. I will look to book this caravan again, it really does have that little bit extra to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable. The view over the lake is also an added bonus. Watching the sun rise through the trees was magical, especially after being so lucky seeing the northern lights too! Thank you for having us xx

Salma was a great host. Always responsive and friendly. Very flexible with check in. The flat was perfect for my daughter and I visiting friends and family at university. Plenty of room. Great location to all the city offers, on foot. Very clean. Very comfortable beds. We would highly recommend Selma’s flat. It has everything you could need. We will be sure to stay here again when we come back.

We loved our stay at Newhall Estate. The stable flat was gorgeous. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, quality linen and it felt like a lovely luxurious stay. Really close to Edinburgh but it felt like another world and we loved coming home and taking a walk around the grounds. Would strongly recommend.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit im Apartment. Die Bahn ist nur wenige Fußminuten entfernt. Ebenso ist auch ein Supermarkt (24/7 geöffnet) in der Nähe und von dort aus gibt es auch die Möglichkeit mit Bussen in die Stadt zu fahren. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Highly Recommend! Beautiful, well equipped cottage. It has been renovated to a very high standard. Kate, was an excellent host and very responsive. In the middle of a working sheep farm, sheep everywhere, so you must be able to control your dogs at all times. A beautiful break away from Wifi, phones and people. All shops about 16/18 miles away. A lovely place to reconnect and recharge. Thank you for having us, would love to come back soon ☺️

What an amazing find! it is a beautiful little village next to a pub that serves excellent food, best mushroom risotto I have ever had! We walked up a nearby hill to Drakes stone and the view was great, we looked around the ruin castle in the village and did a walk by the river all without having to get in a car. Location was peaceful and quiet and our dog had the best time ever. I highly recommend this place, the cottage itself is spotless and has everything you need utensils and appliance wise. There is a small shop in the pub next door. Karen communicated really well and I would definitely stay here again. We also travelled to nearby places such as Craster, Alnwick, Rothbury and Kielder from here and although it is a little journey the scenery is well worth it.

Comfortable accommodation

Le cottage est dans un environnement incroyable. Si vous cherchez du calme pour être coupés du monde c’est idéal. On est entourés par les moutons, les oiseaux et les lapins, le silence est tellement reposant. Le cottage était très bien, très propre, grand, avec tout le nécessaire. Il faut prévoir les courses et l’essence à l’avance car le premier village est à 40 minutes de route. Nous avons eu la chance d’avoir une semaine de grand soleil, avec l’impression d’être seuls au monde. Nous sommes tristes de devoir quitter cet endroit magnifique mais nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Fantastic accommodation in a beautiful, peaceful part of Scotland with sheep and lambs in the surrounding fields (we visited mid April). The cottage was spotlessly clean with everything we needed. The guide to the apartment was very helpful. Wished we could have stayed longer!

Kerry helped us out massively when another Airbnb host cancelled at the last minute. She was very responsive and got her property ready for us super quick. The property is beautiful and we can’t praise Kerry enough

This is without a doubt the most beautiful air BnB we have ever stayed in. It was utterly stunning. Incredibly beautiful interiors, super comfortable bed, heavenly hot tub and external space. We had the most magical weekend there relaxing in such peaceful and private surroundings. Don’t even give it a second thought. Just book.

Wir waren für 10 Tage in John‘s Ferienhaus, um Südschottland und die Gegend um Edinburgh kennenzulernen. Schon bevor wir ankamen, gab es ein Problem mit dem Mietwagen. Zum Glück hatten wir John als Gastgeber, der uns äußerst hilfsbereit unterstützte. Das Ferienhaus ist auf einem Bauernhof, es ist ruhig dort, das Haus selbst ist wunderschön eingerichtet, viel großzügiger als auf den Fotos, und es gibt alles, was man braucht, um sich wohlfühlen zu können. Manchmal haben wir uns schon Regen gewünscht, um nichts unternehmen zu müssen und ohne Sorge etwas zu versäumen, einen Tag mit Lesen am Kamin verbringen zu können. Die umgebende Landschaft ist geprägt von hügligen Schafweiden. In 10-minütiger Entfernung ist Galashiels, eine kleine Stadt mit Bahnanschluss nach Edinburgh, in der man Einkaufen und Essengehen kann. Von John‘s Unterkunft aus bieten sich Ausflüge nach Edinburgh, zu Seen, zur Ostküste Schottlands und zu den vielen kleinen Städtchen in Südschottland an.
