From the first step inside, felt right at home. Fully stocked kitchen and the place was spotless. Definitely a 10 out of 10. Was a bonus having such an amazing view of the mountains and cows. Do yourself a favor and book this location!

This place is absolutely beautiful! It was impeccably clean and offered stunning views! The night was wonderfully quiet, making it feel like we were in our own serene world. The layout of the space is amazing, and to top it off, there’s a delightful winery “Firefly” just a short 20-foot walk away! The hot tub was the perfect addition, providing a relaxing way to unwind while enjoying the views. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

We had a great stay! Olivia was an excellent host. The place had the perfect vibe for a girls weekend and birthday celebration. The only issue we had was needing to catch 2 wasps that were in the house, but we were able to take care of that without issue. It was so nice to have so many towels and amenities that you don’t normally have in an Airbnb. Thanks again!

I had a wonderful stay at Chris and Sandy’s farm guesthouse. It was very easy to find and exceeded my expectations. They were the best hosts and I would definitely return. I especially loved feeding the donkey, Jasper. Sandy and Chris went out of their way to make it feel like home for us. Thanks again for the Yoder’s icecream recommendation, we loved seeing the free petting zoo.

We really enjoyed staying in this cottage. The patio and deck were great, we enjoyed the hot tub multiple times! Lots of games to play which was so nice. Nicholas was responsive when we had questions and very friendly. We really enjoyed Lost & Found Pizza & Provisions as well as Mack’s Bingo Kitchen based on his recommendations as well! Overall great experience!

Had a lovely weekend in VA at Dollys place, and at a really great price. The house was very charming, though very clearly older, but everything about it was within what I consider normal expectations with an older home out in this area. We really enjoyed spending time in the backyard, which was fenced in and had a charming fire pit and table. Our dogs and kids alike took advantage of the ample room for activities back there! Dolly and her husband were very responsive and easy to reach and talk to. Would recommend for a weekend getaway!

Absolutely loved it! Loved the house and the incredible views of the mountains. Awesome place to have coffee in the morning and just take in everything that’s around. The path to the river was definitely cool. Wish that we had more time to hang out there. Check out the local eateries and coffee shops in Elkton. Take the time to visit out the surrounding areas like Harrisonburg and the National forest and definitely the Grand Caverns ( very cool )

My family was attending a wedding and Patti’s Place was perfect for my whole family. Big bathroom for us to share with plenty of big clean towels for all of us (5). Well equipped kitchen so we didn’t have to eat out every meal. The loft was a huge hit for the kids as well as being next to the horses. Only things to be aware of is that the front door was hard to keep shut and there were no matches/lighters or wood. So make sure to BYO to enjoy the lovely fire pit outside. Patti was responsive and the checkout tasks were not too overwhelming. Thank you for having us.

Clean & comfortable cabin, great for a weekday away! Great location to some local spots & breweries. Loved the backyard bonus space to enjoy a relaxing night sitting outback with our pup!

This is our second time staying there and we loved it! So close to Orange so we can run into town and get food, come back home and relax. The dog has a fenced space to run around in and even friends (Hillary's pups) on the other side of the fence to run around with :) It is the perfect place for us to unwind, relax, and prepare for our international travels! The cottage/house was as described and wonderful. The location was perfect to explore the many nearby hiking and outdoors options. The property itself has an excellent view. The fenced in yard was convenient for our dog. Inside everything was clean and well-maintained. There were a number of nice touches to make you feel at home. There was everything one would need and more. I needed to work remotely one day and the WiFi was very reliable. Great stay!

Mary Scott and Mark's cottage was a wonderful little getaway. The cottage was quaint and cozy. Check-in instructions were very clear and our hosts were very responsive. It was a great location with beautiful surroundings and had many things to do within a 20-25 min radius. Downtown Charlottesville and Monticello were close by and were great day activities. We also really enjoyed the Glass House Winery which was about 5 min away. Beautiful home, highly recommend!

The pink cottage is nestled in nature, but also in the city. We were able to head toward UVA campus or out toward Ivy with ease. The place is both quirky and quaint - an artistically steeped homebase.

This was our third time staying here and it is always wonderful. The property itself is beautiful and peaceful. Our dog loves the fenced in yard and dog amenities (water bowl, poop bags). The coffee that Billy provides is so good and much appreciated. Phone coverage can be spotty (the provide wifi works great), so the recommendations and directions provided in the Welcome binder are very useful. Love it here & hoping we will be able to visit again soon.

This was a perfect place for a peaceful getaway. The fireplace was a treat, and we had a very cozy stay. It's hard to add to what other reviewers have already said, but here is one detail: on a winter's night, when the moon is down and the sky is clear, the stars are fantastic! Because there is no nearby light pollution, the view from the deck of the night sky is deep and brilliant.

This is the third year we’ve come back to the Gatekeeper Cottage and it’s just as wonderful as always, Adrianne and Brick are very friendly hosts! We hope to come back again in the summer even if just for a day to enjoy the house in another season. Thank you again for having us back!

Excellent place to stay. We wanted to get away for the weekend and was just what we were looking for. The Winery is a quick walk down the hill. The location is quiet and easy to find. We travelled into town a few times which was fairly close. The bakery is very good and the coffee shop was fine too. The cottage had everything we needed or could want.

WE had a lovely weekend stay at Bret's place. It was a cold, snowy trip but we still took long walks up the road and watched the snow fall with a roaring fire. Bret did a good job reaching out to make sure everything went smoothly. The kitchen is quite small but has everything you need to cook some good meals. Would be a cool place to visit in warmer months with the lovely creek right outside the front door! Do note the water is pretty smelly so you can do everything with it but drink, but there is plenty of drinking water provided.

Corinne’s place is amazing. My fiancée and I enjoyed our Spring break there. The cabin is beautiful and well-equipped, we had everything we needed. Corinne and Jesse respond fast and always in a good mood. They left a pumpkin bread and a local cider in the cabin for the guests to enjoy! Also, they sent us a list of nice hiking trails, markets, wineries and breweries in the area, which was super useful. We will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

Kay takes pride in this property and it shows in her attention to detail. It is a lovely place to stay and she personalizes the experience to make you feel welcomed. The home is well decorated and super clean. We loved our stay!

We stayed at Austen and Katie's for only one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. The cottage is beautifully decorated, super clean, and very inviting. Mattresses were comfortable - we all slept very soundly. When we got in after dinner, the cottage was a little chilly so I messaged Austen. He offered to change the settings through his app and then we were good through the night. Austen also offered to let us come back to the cottage after our day at UVA if we wanted to rest before getting on the road. We didn't take him up on this, but really appreciated the offer. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area! Oh, an FYI....it is about a 15-20 minute ride into downtown Charlottesville.

We had a great stay! This is the CLEANEST Airbnb I’ve ever been to. Very beautiful area and scenery, and perfect distance from Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park. Valerie was very responsive and helpful when needed. The only suggestion would be to take a car that can handle a somewhat steep and rocky driveway.

My husband and I decided on a last-minute weekend getaway, and Bonnie was so accommodating with this gorgeous little cottage! The space was clean, comfortable, thoughtfully furnished, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The historical details were one-of-a-kind. Absolutely loved the quiet setting on the family farm and close proximity to the brewery, too! I would highly recommend this space - it's the perfect location for exploring wine country.
