Me and my family had a great time here. The proximity to hiking trails can’t be beat. Plus, we loved the hot tub. The hosts were great about communicating and had great recommendations.

We have become regular visitors to Roudy’s Retreat; it’s something we look forward to when planning vacation time every year. The cabin is miles above what we could ask for, and our Jaclyn is always so helpful leading up to and during our stay. The house is very spacious and offers so many amenities—including a fire pit and hot tub and plenty of toys and games to keep our kids busy. We can relax on the deck with our coffee and enjoy the peaceful mountain mornings. And it’s located within an hour at most to a number of great attractions, like Crabtree Falls (only 15 minutes), a fishing pond, Natural Bridge and Lexington. My family and I highly recommend giving this place and try, and we look forward to returning again!

The view was incredible, every morning seeing the sunset over the mountains was breathtaking. The stay was great, the local market was awesome, the overlooks were so beautiful. The host was fantastic and extremely responsive. I would like to recommend that if you want an amazing experience in the mountains I advise you to make a trip and see this amazing property. You will absolutely fall in love with it as we did.

Great place in Wintergreen! We stayed in Spring and everything was quiet and the foliage was vibrant. Our family went hiking and exploring everyday, and enjoyed the food and drink down in the valley. There is a nice trail in Wintergreen if you can find the overlook off Old Appalachian trail. Hot tub was a plus for sure! Enjoyed the trails in the neighborhood and watching the golfers. All the amenities you could ask for and a clean tidy home!

This cabin was perfect for a secluded weekend getaway. Right up the road from a ton of breweries, vineyards and restaurants, the amenities were fantastic (wood burning stove, comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, heated bathroom floor, hot tub) and the Mountain View’s were beautiful. We hope to return for another visit asap.

Love Ridge Mountain Lodging really was wonderful! A perfect, private getaway for relaxing after a long day skiing at the nearby Wintergreen Resort!

Words cannot describe how amazing our stay was! If you’re looking for a peaceful & private retreat with no cell service and a rustic vibe then this is your place!!! The home did have wifi (if you wanted to logon or use wifi calling / texts) and that was a nice perk for my travel buddy. I personally preferred to stay off the grid. Monica was fantastic to communicate with and gave super helpful information before check in; which was nice because it’s a very rural area that I had never been to and to get the info ahead of time definitely helped plan out our trip. Crabtree falls hike was awesome. I’m currently looking at my schedule to plan a time to rebook this place!!!!

This cabin was beautiful! The interior was gorgeous with elegant and quality furnishings. The house was well stocked with many items which was so nice. The views and setting were stunning! Every window and door gave you majestic views of mountains and wildlife! The porch as AMAZING as was the fire-pit! To top it off there is a trampoline which I enjoyed channeling my inner child all with Mountain View’s! The hiking trail was exceptionally well done which we enjoyed. The hosts were amazing in responses and help and the welcome touches were so appreciated. What a way to celebrate retirement! We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah’s cabin. The space was clean and comfortable, and the views of the surrounding property were beautiful. Sarah went out of her way to make us feel both welcome and at home. In fact, she left us breakfast supplies, including fresh eggs and homemade muffins! (She even left us supples to make s’mores!) The location was super convenient for us to visit the Virginia Safari Park and the Natural Bridge State Park as well.

Beautiful house that is even larger and specious in person than on the photos. We had two separate families with 6 kids between us with tons of room. The kitchen is fully stocked with every utensil you could need. The TV had access to Netflix, Peacock, Hulu and Disney, which was a special treat for the kids. The house is only a 5 minute drive from the Mountain Inn at Wintergreen. The house has huge windows with beautiful sunrises and a view of the slopes. The driveway has lots of parking, but it is very steep. It snowed just before we arrived and it requires 4 wheel drive just FYI for anyone traveling! Overall it was an amazing stay and we can’t wait until we can come again.

We were looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway and that’s exactly what we got! The house was spacious and clean and the host, John communicated promptly. The only downside was the walk to the river. It was a bit more challenging than expected and did not provide any clear access entry into the water. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to others!

Spent New Year's with my husband and two Yorkies nestled deep in the woods, and it was everything I hoped for—and more! The property is surrounded by towering trees, offering a sense of tranquility and seclusion that's hard to come by. The bed deserves a special mention— it was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! We spent all three days hiking some of the best trails and relaxed comfortably watching TV in the evenings with a nice glass of Malbec. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat where you can reconnect with nature without sacrificing comfort, this Airbnb is the perfect choice. I’ll definitely be returning! Thank you Jerry and Chris.

A perfect getaway that provided peaceful views, nature, and bonus for being pet friendly. Kendra's husband was doing some work on the property, it was a pleasure running into him and talking. Entire property was well kept, very satisfied.

We loved the large deck with incredible views! There is another property very close to this one so wasn’t as secluded as we had hoped but overall we loved our stay here. Go check out Eagle Zen Winery if you have the chance.

Wow, a unique and charming house, perfect for a family getaway. Our children loved all the activities and hanging out in the family room. Rebecca was a great host and helped us track down a lost item. Very easy to see she loves her guests! 100% would stay here again for extended getaway.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The photos did not do it justice and it is even better in person. The cabin is beautiful and so well maintained, we loved all of the original details and vintage decor and characteristics. The quirks of the old home are truly charming and we enjoyed exploring each room. The house is well cooled and well ventilated, we enjoyed keeping the windows open. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked, we loved eating outside and lit a fire every night in the fire pit, and the living room was wonderful for relaxing and reading. The bed was super comfy, and the house has everything that we needed! Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin, and maintaining the character of the old cabin and letting all of the original details shine! We hope to return to enjoy the mountains again.

We had an incredible time! The tiny house had everything we needed, it was clean, comfy and surrounded by nature.

Large home, perfect floor plan for our group of 4 adults and two children. The home was only a 2-mile Drive to the Wintergreen Resort. We were able to spend all day skiing and then heading home was a short 5-minute drive to a relaxing evening at the house. The dining choices were limited, we ate most meals at the resort which had three or four different restaurants. The home is well kept and had all the amenities we needed.

Cook's Cabin was a wonderful place to stay in the Blue Ridge area. We stayed for a family vacation with children varying in age from 3 to 16 and everyone felt comfortable and at-home. Cook's Cabin was one of the cleanest AirBnB experiences we've shared as a family. The property is obviously cared for, and also the host is extremely thoughtful--offered a cute host gift, put nightlights in all the right places, and was proactive in making recommendations of places to visit and eat (many of which we used). The property is in Afton, but we were close enough to visit Charlottesville and the University of Virginia for a day. It's a nice place to stay if you don't want to be very close to the hustle and bustle of Grounds, but also enjoy time in the mountains. Lastly, we appreciate the responsiveness of our host, Heidi, we told her we couldn't find a household item and she went above and beyond to be sure we had access to the item. We would consider staying here again if we were in the area.

Our hosts were very proactive and responsive. This Airbnb is in a beautiful location . Meals on the deck are special and especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset. The cozy yet spacious interior makes for a lovely space to host family for special weekends. Will definitely return! Thanks to our Hosts !

The house was super clean, beautiful, and the location was amazing. Brad is super helpful and very responsive! We had a great time staying here.

The cabin seemed small from the pictures, but had more room than expected. Everything was very clean. Lots of areas to sit, and a well-stocked kitchen. Kathryn was very responsive and helpful. We ended up leaving early because one of my kids was sick and she gave us a partial refund. She by no means had to since we paid a non-refundable rate so we appreciated the gesture.

We had a wonderful family getaway at Oak Ledge in Wintergreen. The beautiful cabin provided plenty of space for our family. After a day of exploring the Blue Ridge, it was great to come back to this home for a family meal, movie night and R&R. Host provided stellar communication, excellent recommendations and a number of much appreciated extra amenities including a kitchen with every gadget you needed. This space provided comfortable and enjoyable getaway. We were extremely pleased with our stay! Thank you for the hospitality!
