Our hotel’s place is near SENBON-MARUTAMACHI bus stop only 2 minutes walk from there. This is very useful bus stop, you can go directly to ARASHIYAMA , KINKAKUJI-TEMPLE,KIYOMIZU-TEMPLE, JR KYOTO STATION and so on. Our family founded Japanese rice shop in 1894 but I remodeled into hotel this spring. We are living long time here, and I want to keep my family’s business and hospitality mind for hotel work. Because the guest room is only 2, each room separate, so you can spend calmly and relax.

Higurashi-sou is a small guesthouse with 5 rooms only. This room is called 'Suisen' with unique Karakami paper doors with hand-drawn swirls and swimming frogs. (There are no bathrooms on the same floor. ) We can offer 'free bathhouse ticket', Enjoy our bathhouse culture with the locals! 10 minutes walk to Nijo castle. Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs.
