Huisjes in Sleepy Hollow

This home was everything we hoped it would be. It offered a peaceful location for our family (two kids, 4 and 2). The home was cozy and the recommendations from Nadia were great. We went to several of the recommended restaurants as well as the Teddy Bear museum and hiked the Rosendale Trestle. Truly a wonderful stay.

Perfect relaxing secluded getaway at Ye Little Wood! The place looks even better than the photos - has everything you’d need to cook, chill, and unwind. The grounds are woody and beautiful! Danny and Travis were very responsive to some of the questions we had. Will be back soon!

Very nice stay. Quiet private and peaceful. We enjoyed ourselves very much. The place was very clean and we especially enjoyed the deck, fire pit and hot tub. We would definitely stay again.

Chateau René is the perfect peaceful escape. The home cozy and well maintained - exactly as pictured. The view made every morning feel like a dream. René was so warm, responsive, and accommodating. He shared great local recommendations and clear instructions for the house, which made settling in a breeze. The most special part of my stay was getting engaged here! René secretly coordinated with my now-fiancé and friend to make it all happen. His excitement and willingness to help meant a lot to us. Overall, 10/10 stay. We’ll definitely be back!

A hidden gem! This spot has a ton of character and the hosts are awesome! The lake and surrounding area is beautiful as well, with plenty to do for the outdoorsy type and cute shops and great restaurants within minutes. would highly recommend and hope to find time for a return trip!

Kelsey’s cottage was exactly as described. It was so beautifully decorated & had everything that we would need. We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend & hope to do it again soon.

Great stay for us and our puppy. We wanted to try some trainings and let him run free, he did not want to leave!! The nature reserve across the street was a great hike, we enjoyed every second. Thank you!

We enjoyed the lovely cozy, private cottage with our family. It was a pleasure to have the animals nearby for the kids to interact with, a safe environment to roam in the woods, and very convenient to have the farm shop a few steps away for local eggs, meats, etc. The cottage was stylishly modern with a clean aesthetic and modern conveniences. Josh was very accessible via text/phone and checked in with us during our stay. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and would recommend to nature lovers, families, and those looking for a getaway in the woods!

Alex was a very gracious host. We had an easy check in and a great first night — the listing was as described and the location was very quiet and scenic. When a big snow storm hit and we had to leave early, Alex was quick to accommodate our early check out. Thank you for being a great host!

We had a fantastic stay! Communication with the owners was incredibly easy. Mark was responsive, helpful, and made everything seamless from start to finish. The home is private and peaceful, exactly what we were looking for. The setup was beautiful and intuitive, making it easy to settle in right away. Inside and out, the place is just as stunning as the photos—immaculately maintained and thoughtfully decorated. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Mike and Meryl were such kind and welcoming hosts. The guest house is beautifully set right next to open pastures and farms. Beautiful design, clean and very peaceful. We highly recommend!

Nice little getaway during the cold season. The hot tub was excellent and about 100 degrees so perfect even with the cold temperature. It was still possible to put together a meal with the propane grill and warm things up in the microwave or store them away in the fridge. The heat was excellent in the space. Seems like it would be a great place to stay in the summer as well!

Darla’s cottage was such a sweet spot for a weekend getaway. Super cozy, clean, and peaceful—exactly what we were looking for. It felt tucked away in the woods but still really easy to get to, and just a few minutes down the road from Rough Cut Brewing, which was a big plus. We loved being able to grab some beers, then come back and relax inside. Darla was a great host—friendly, but gave us plenty of space. Would totally stay again next time we’re in the area!

"This feels like home already." That was my 8-year-old's response to this sweet Kerhonkson cottage, just one hour after we arrived. I could end my five-star review there but I'll add some perks listed and not listed, which we really enjoyed. Prime location. The cottage is within a 20-minute radius of so many wonderful spots. We come for the Bonticue Crag rock scramble but stay for Saunderskill Farm, Upstate Taco, Bluebird Wine and Spirits and so much more. The creek. My kids walked there barefoot and sunned on the rocks. If you're lucky: farm fresh eggs are sold on the honor system on the main road just past the creek. The shower. You'll see. Smaller perks: The back deck gets great sun. So much closet/drawer space to organize your stuff. Lighting options galore, and almost all of them on dimmers. Sonos sound system and a charging station. The cozy office space, in case you have to "check in" or if you just want some alone time. Thank you, Consuelo! We'll be back.

My husband and I had a great stay. James and Rose are super helpful hosts. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Walking distance to a lovely park they recommended with tons of hiking trails and very quiet.

We had a really nice stay! The cottage was cute, modern, and had a fun, artsy vibe. It was spotlessly clean and felt cozy yet stylish, making it perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway!

The house was great, exactly what we were looking for at a really great price. Carla was responsive and flexible which made the whole experience better. It is right near a few nice small towns and out in nature which was exactly what we wanted.

Well thought out space. Quiet neighborhood. Has all the essentials needed for vacation. There is a chair in the bedroom that converts into a small single bed for a child. Nice backyard space.

My husband and I stayed at the cottage for 3 months and enjoyed our time very much. We were very happy from every perspective: The cottage had all the equipment we needed and wished for. We sometimes used the fireplace and loved the bed/couch. The cottage is perfect to rest and focus. We enjoyed to have so much nature around us. We took a walk in the close park with a lake almost every day. We liked to live at a small farm with dogs, chicken and goose. Debbie and Kirk were always there when we needed them and also made us internationals feel welcome. They explained and helped us proactively e.g. changed regional weather circumstances. We also regularly got eggs from the chicken what was always a nice surprise. Communication/ interactions were always easy and friendly. I recommended my work to plan future stays for assignments in this Airbnb. In our opinion it is better than a hotel: Very comfortable, cozy, close to nature and a special American experience. we love Walkers place and do come here twice a year. it's a beautiful home, it's so zen, so pretty, so clean, we just absolutely love it. it's a great fabulous house and spot to stay. ♥️

T’s house perfectly matches my expectations, his hospitality and responsiveness went beyond satisfaction, everything inside the house is clean and full of details, the view and surroundings the house is breathtaking. We enjoyed very much for our stay. This house now has a special meaning for us, we will definitely come back! For anyone interested: T is one of the best hosts I’ve met, you will be amazed and impressed.

Karla’s place felt like home immediately. From the moment we got there, my husband, me, and our very skittish dog all fell into a rhythm here! We were there for 21 days and it truly felt like we were home the whole time! The house is off the main road but close enough to things that you can get bagels, pizza, pastries, or coffee quickly (the 4 main food groups when you’re in NJ). I would recommend this Airbnb (and Karla as a host) to anyone who needed a place to stay in northern NJ :)

Lovely stay! Loved the infrared sauna! Very comfortable bed! Everything was clean and cozy! Definitely recommend staying here! Had a great time in the area! Visited the tulip festival and went roller skating at Skate Time! Found an authentic pierogi place! Great location!
