Somerset Stables Mogo

Somerset Stables is set on a small rural holding with access to the Mogo state forest, close proximity to the beach and Mogo village and is within walking distance to Mogo Zoo. It has modern decor, rich timber floors, vaulted ceilings and is self contained to be comfortable. The Apartment is a loft conversion of our Stable Barn with stair only access, it has a tree top view of the paddocks below with accompanying bird and zoo noises. We look forward to hosting our guests and sharing our space.

The place is geographically central to all of the Canberra's attractions and most of the Governemt offices, just 10 minutes to the city, Belconnen, Barton, Kingston and Woden. Built in 1895, this four room cottage has been lovingly renovated as a private guest wing of a larger property. This cosy cottage is close to everything, making it easy to plan your trip, wander the shops, galleries, the river trails and sites of Yass Valley or Canberra. If you love live music, local wine, whisky or gin, this is a great valley to explore. For fishing, bring your gear or boat for the river, the dam or a nearby lake. Our guests: couples, sml family/friends grp. No parties.

Watch the whales from the front deck as they migrate north in the cooler months, and south with their calves as it starts to warm up towards summer.

The Stables @ Longsight

The original stables at historic Longsight have been lovingly restored and converted to luxury boutique accommodation. Many of the original features have been preserved such as the exposed wood rafters, weatherboards, iron roof and facade. Even the original saddle racks remain in the bathroom and old framing timber has been repurposed into a beautiful kitchen island. Perfect for couples or families looking for a relaxing country getaway.

There is not a road, power line, fence or cliff to separate you from the ever-changing ocean, and your secluded cove-beach just 30 steps below. ONE host with just ONE home. Total focus on your visit. I am not able to welcome or host PETS as there is no fencing, with sensitive ocean reserve public land adjoining.
