Huisjes in St Albans

We had a lovely weekend with the family . Beautiful cottage loads of room for us all to move around . Children enjoyed the garden and the hot tub was a bonus . Wonderful place to stay . Thank you.

Sally’s place felt like going through a portal into a magical garden. The house was so cozy with beautiful vintage decor and an amazing fireplace. The highlight of the trip was eating breakfast outside by the river and watch the ducks. And can’t forget about the lovely host Sally is! Always responsive and helpful with lots of good food and nature walks recommendations.

This cozy little property was exactly as described, and is tucked away in the most beautiful surrounds. Our lovely host, Laura, was easy to communicate with and made us feel right at home. The only down-side is the hum from the motorway (depending on the wind’s direction), but that can be easily drowned out by the jets from the private hot tub! ;) All in all, Point Lodge is a perfect escape from the world! I’ll definitely be returning!

The place was absolutely beautiful and cozy feels like we’re just at home chilling. Every part of the room is spacious. Spotless clean. Backyard was big where we set up the party. Host was kind and responsive. We enjoyed our time spent in his place. Will definitely come back

Sarah’s place was a great place to stay. We visited as a group of friends and the grounds were a real highlight - including the lake and hot tub! The mezzanine bedroom is fully private. Would recommend!

We had a brilliant time staying at the house. It was easy to book and Nick was very friendly and responsive to any questions we had. His house instructions were very clear with photos to help. Beautiful house in a great location! Thank you Nick!

Outstanding hosts. We were super happy to stay with them for a second time! The welcome basket was a really thoughtful gesture and the extra touches like robes and slippers were very helpful.

We had a really good stay at Suzanne’s house. We were a party of 3 adults, 1 year old and a Labrador. Plenty of room with a lovely open plan space downstairs with very comfy seating in front of a great TV. The house was as described and in a lovely location just next to the river and across the road from Kew Green. The house is Suzanne’s home which was a bit strange as it does feel a bit intrusive, but it is clearly advertised as such and didn’t cause us any problems. Also lovely that it is dog friendly with loads of great dog walks near by. Thank you.

What a beautiful little cottage in a beautiful little village! A perfect retreat! Despite being directly on the roadside, we were not disturbed and found the area very quiet. The cottage is cute, well kitted out and the little garden is a bonus. I would definitely stay again!

Carina was a good host and always available without being intrusive. The property is well priced and cosy with all the amenities required for an extended stay with lots to do on the doorstep in the beautiful area as well easily accessible links to the motorways to travel further afield. We visited the place and used it as a base as a family of 5 and spent a lot of the time out of the property as we were visiting family in the area. The amenities were great and we were able to wash the kids clothes that were getting dirty from all the outdoor activities available on the doorstep, we did a fair bit of walking in the surrounding country trails and went to legoland which is close by, the local pub was within walking distance and served fantastic food at a great price. I have nothing negative to say about the accommodation and host and would welcome another visit here, if I was to add a constructive appraisal would perhaps look to update the soft furnishings for a enhanced experience.

We loved our stay at Andy’s place with our parents and our 2 young children. It is in a beautiful and peaceful village. The cottage is really quirky, clean and cosy - had everything we needed for our stay, Andy has thought of lots of extra details which make it a really enjoyable stay. Everything is easy to find and use with Andy’s helpful notes and labels. We really loved the toys and games for the kids so this kept them entertained! we were lucky with the weather our stay we used the lovely little garden a lot which is private and a nice wee suntrap, also has the added bonus of the sauna which was brilliant. Andy was really friendly and helpful upon check in and out and quick communication if we needed anything. Would really recommend a stay here and we will definitely return if back in the area. Thanks so much!

We loved the house, the terrace, the pub next door, the woodland with the Bluebells, the villages along the river Thames. We had a great time and wonderful weather!

Lovely little place! Gorgeous walk through woods on your doorstep, dog friendly, and lovely bedroom and bathroom! Nice garden area too, and parking right outside. There’s no oven or hob but the listing does explain that!

An immaculately presented, adorable little cottage, perfectly kitted out with everything you could possibly want or need. The homemade brownies were delicious and such a lovely touch, as were the fresh eggs. Caroline and her husband are fabulous hosts, and her parents Jim and Margaret are lovely. Jim’s garden is a beautiful, peaceful space. One hundred percent recommend this place and I would come back again with no hesitation.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage and thoroughly enjoyed how relaxing our stay was. The cottage was beautiful and had great views of the surrounding countryside with an added bonus of seeing horses and cows from the bedroom window! Dee was a lovely host who was very accommodating and helpful.

We enjoyed staying at honeypot cottage. The large garden is a sun trap and plenty of logs for the log burner. Simon and Caroline were good on the comms too. Thank you

Great family weekend away and couldn't have wished for better weather in April. Cottage and location idyllic. Olivia and her family are great hosts and very responsive to messages. Cottage was spotless. Lovely courtyard where we enjoyed meals and a bbq. Lovely pub with excellent food just a short stroll away and lovely walks from the Cottage.

We loved staying here and I especially loved how peaceful the location was. Our children loved it and the spaces are gorgeous; our daughter especially loved how friendly the horses were. We arrived at 10pm on a Friday night and Amanda had left the keys in the door for us which made the end to a long drive from Leeds easier! The whole lodge is beautiful throughout and with underfloor heating was very cosy. I could imagine the summer months being even more luxury to the property with the bifolds and stunning views at the back of the property. Overall, we’d stay here again as it was such a lovely breakaway.

My wife and I enjoyed a short break in Barn Cottage. We wanted to see Cambridge and found this place ideal to use as a relaxing base. Located on a quiet no through road and within walking distance to Milton Park and Ride, 10 - 15 minutes walk away, lots of pubs serving food, Fish & Chip shop and other shops all near by. Also within walking distance is a Tesco Super Store and a lovely Country Park only minutes from Barn Cottage. Barn Cottage it's self was perfect and didn't disappoint. Everything was to a very high standard and I would recommend Barn Cottage to anybody visiting the Cambridge area. Caroline was very friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay here again.

We were delighted with our stay at the Coach House. As well as being spotlessly clean it was furnished and decorated in a pleasing “ Country Chic” way, which was entirely appropriate. We loved the privacy and leafiness of the surroundings and woke to the sound of the dawn chorus and nothing else! Alison could not have been more helpful, but only came to us when needed. Highly recommended.

Jacqueline's Cottage truly lived up to all expectations set forth from previous reviews. The surroundings are peaceful and idyllic, and she has created a "suburban retreat" within SevenOaks. The cottage is very well kept and appointed, and there is very little to desire that has not already been provided, right down to the fresh-baked bread and goodie basket awaiting your arrival. We would recommend the cottage to families, couples, or mature friends traveling together. If you like to enjoy the countryside with walks in the fields, I'd imagine you won't find better. Very ideal for a weekend getaway, long-term stay, or visiting your boarding Sennockian.
