Located in the heart of McKenzie River recreation area. Private & tranquil riverfront cabin. This is the UPPER level cabin (private w/no shared connections) Vaulted living space w/woodstove & amazing river views from inside or the private upper deck outside. One comfy bedroom + cozy sleeping loft (w/2 twins) accessed by pullout ladder & another sofa bed in the Living Space. Just steps to the river. The Lower downstairs cabin is also available separately for larger groups. Only a mile to Tokatee.

We purchased this cabin as our family's vacation home and wanted to share the peace and comfort it has afforded us with others. The home was built in 2005 in withstood the terrible fires that destroyed a large number of buildings in 2020. Thankfully our cabin survived and the town is rebuilding! The cabin located right off of Highway 22 across from Detroit Lake. The cabin is surrounded by trees on a quiet dead end road. Has heating and air conditioning, as well as high speed internet. *no pets

Sofa bed is NOT recommended for adults. New King Bed. Private, the whole place is yours! No shared walls; our home is behind the cabin. Great for travellers, kayakers, and campers. Private, and tucked away from the crowds, quiet, comfortable cabin in the woods, our Koosah Cabin is the perfect base camp for 2 to 3 people as you explore all the McKenzie River has to offer. Our property is nestled in the woods, just far enough off the highway that all you can hear is the sound of gentle rushing water. Koosah is almost identical to Tamolitch Cabin. During winter, there is usually access to snow, only a 15 minute drive from our cabin to the top of Mary's Peak. Alsea Falls is a 25 minute drive. The coastal town of Waldport is a 45 minute drive, Oregon State University is a 20 minute drive away, and University of Oregon is 1 hour south of us. Cabin is on our private property where we live as well.
