Peaceful cottage in a beautiful setting. We loved the friendly pet sheep who greeted us whenever we went outside! Appreciated the little touches like the fire lit waiting for us when we arrived. Firm but comfy bed. Shower a little lacking in pressure but that’s to be expected on tank water. Well worth a drive to the top of the road for a glorious view across the whole island!

Beautiful place and very pretty gardens. Warren and Jo are very friendly. Tui is a calm dog and gave us a warm welcome. A nice walk around the property to see the animals and birds. Christmas house tour was a surprise and awesome and such an awesome effort by them for the community. All in all we had a relaxing stay.

Annelies’ bank was amazing. I love the way she has kept the originality of the building but has made it completely liveable and comfortable. Annelies was very generous in the provisions she left - bread, eggs, muesli, yoghurt, chocolate etc. We really loved Kimbolton as well - lots of history, great walks and really enjoyed our evening at the pub across the road. Hopefully we’ll be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Fiona’s place! The house, an old cellar door, is full of character and charm. The clean, cosy atmosphere with the fireplace was perfect for relaxing, and we really enjoyed spending time outside on the little deck with a view of the garden and using the BBQ. The location was very quiet, offering a peaceful retreat. There’s no TV, which was nice to disconnect and enjoy the serene setting. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a unique and peaceful getaway.

We loved our stay, with time spent exploring the farm, nearby Porangahau, and the beach. After kids' bedtime we sat on the deck and quietly absorbed the stunning night sky while several rurus called to each other from the trees. Jess was great to deal with - always responsive, warm and welcoming. Gorgeous fresh flowers and Easter treats were a lovely touch. The cottage was super clean, well-equipped and perfectly set up for our large family. Thanks Jess.

The most amazing stay we've ever had! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. We walked into a cozy house beautifully lit by a fire place. Fresh milk and eggs were waiting for us, and they were absolutely delicious. Janeen was incredibly helpful. Our little one was kept entertained with plenty of puzzles, Legos, and toys. One of the highlights was the tour of the farm. Janeen and Adrian showed us the cows, the cow shed, explained how the milking is done, and even let our little one collect fresh eggs from the chickens. The view over the mountains was breathtaking, and the river nearby made the whole place feel like a peaceful retreat. The sunrise in the morning was absolutely stunning. The hospitality we received was beyond amazing. This was truly the best stay we've ever experienced, and we can't wait to come back!

We stayed here with 12 friends for my husband’s 30th, and it was absolutely perfect. He loves native bush and birds, so this place was a dream. The house feels like a fairytale—spacious, warm, and beautifully designed. The kitchen is well-equipped and flows easily to the patio, where we barbecued and dined outdoors. There’s a handy kitchen window for passing food outside, and both indoor and outdoor tables made it easy to adapt to the weather. The property sits on 7 acres of native bush with walking tracks, birds like piwakawakas following us, and a magical glow worm walk at night. There's an outdoor fire area with couches, ambient lighting, and a speaker system that connects throughout the house and outside. It’s perfect for reconnecting with friends and nature. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and so grateful. Huge thanks to the hosts for the clear communication and thoughtful touches. If you're thinking of booking—do it. You won’t regret it.

Feilding House is a grand 100 year old home that has been lovingly restored so it is able to be enjoyed. The workmanship and attention to detail is stunning. The bedrooms are huge with luxurious linen and a feeling of opulence. The whole house is spacious and functional, while giving you a feeling of being back in time. The new bathroom is very spacious with a lovely big spa bath to enjoy. The huge kitchen with up to date appliances is wonderful to cook in. We certainly enjoyed using the pool and outdoor space. Thank you for sharing your beautiful historical house.
