Our cabin in the woods is a quiet refuge, built with many unique features: a log cabin room with vaulted ceiling, log walls in kitchenette/upstairs small dinette seating area and log wall in sunroom. Carriage style Barn doors, from grandparents old chicken coop on our property. The gorgeous metal stair railing hand designed & laser cut with pine trees. Downstairs walkout basement has concrete log beams & posts, as well as some concrete tree branches. Trails are for quiet travel only, no motors.

The property is bounded on 3 sides by the Au Sable State Forest. Situated in a relatively remote portion of the lower peninsula, guests are virtually assured a tranquil stay. Whether you seek a romantic get away with someone special, or a lively get together with friends or family, this place offers something for everyone.

Outdoor Enthusiasts Cabin, Near AuSable River, Mio

Our subdivision is ideally situated among thousands of acres of public land near the beautiful Au Sable River. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, and full of nature. Come and enjoy all this beautiful area has to offer, including hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, trail riding, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, etc. A boat launch for the Au Sable River, an ORV trailhead and DJs Scenic Bar are within a mile of the cabin (in McKinley). Hiking and skiing trails are 10-15 minutes from the cabin.

Walking distance of canoe rental, restaurants & the beach, you will surely create great memories here!

Our cabin has been in our family over 40 years, this is our first time hosting our beloved home. We hope you find it charming, comforting and a place to build beautiful memories. Welcome to the relaxing Mas cabin located at Camp Deer Trails family campground. Enjoy breathtaking views of long lake as well as 140 acres of forest to explore. The outdoor activities are endless with our canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards. We also have our own private island you can reach called Moose island. We are minutes from trailheads for all off road vehicles. There are several golf courses in the area including Snow Snake, Tamarack, and Firefly.

If you are looking for a relaxing, cozy getaway our vintage 1950s 2 bedroom log house has been recently updated with all the comforts of home. It features hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings, furnished in a comfy mix of old and new, electric fireplace, new appliances, and remodeled bathroom with large walk in shower. Our home is a few blocks to downtown Clare where you will find unique local shops, eateries, and entertainment.
