Our cabin in the woods is a quiet refuge, built with many unique features: a log cabin room with vaulted ceiling, log walls in kitchenette/upstairs small dinette seating area and log wall in sunroom. Carriage style Barn doors, from grandparents old chicken coop on our property. The gorgeous metal stair railing hand designed & laser cut with pine trees. Downstairs walkout basement has concrete log beams & posts, as well as some concrete tree branches. Trails are for quiet travel only, no motors.

The property is bounded on 3 sides by the Au Sable State Forest. Situated in a relatively remote portion of the lower peninsula, guests are virtually assured a tranquil stay. Whether you seek a romantic get away with someone special, or a lively get together with friends or family, this place offers something for everyone.

Our subdivision is ideally situated among thousands of acres of public land near the beautiful Au Sable River. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, and full of nature. Come and enjoy all this beautiful area has to offer, including hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, trail riding, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, etc. A boat launch for the Au Sable River, an ORV trailhead and DJs Scenic Bar are within a mile of the cabin (in McKinley). Hiking and skiing trails are 10-15 minutes from the cabin.

This quaint vintage 1940's Up North cabin has most of its originality from when it was first built. The cabin has lake views & is across the street from it's conjoining lot 50ft. away on Sand Lake. Close to East Tawas, Huron National Forest, Lake Huron, the Au Sable river, Red Hawk Golf Course & ORV trails. Beautiful sandy beach, included in your stay is row boat, paddle boat, 2 kayaks, canoe, paddle board, floating raft, splash pad & several life jackets guests can use for no extra fee.

Welcome to Barefoot Beach Resort – right on the best beach of Lake Huron! Cabin 8 is our cozy one-bedroom cabin, but it feels roomy with a big kitchen and living area. The front patio has a screen door and a clear view of the lake—just a short walk to the beach. Inside: a comfy queen bed, a new pullout couch, and a fun (but practical) bathroom. Perfect for couples or small families who want to relax, cook, and enjoy the lake. Note: Pet fee is not included in the total.
